Finance Accountant at Luno

Job description

What you will do

• Work closely with teams in the following critical business functions: accounting, internal controls, engineering, compliance and business analytics
• Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting and corporate cash reconciliation, payment date accounting and VAT, across multiple countries and currencies
• Prepare and or review day-to-day corporate payments
• Support the operational float management and crypto-currencies liquidation process
• Reconciliation of trading, internal and operational bank accounts in different countries
• Prepare various period end financial reports and tax returns
• Prepare group consolidated management accounts and financial statements
• Prepare annual financial information to be provided to the external auditors

What you will need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 2 to 3 years experience
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong problem solving ability, work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
• Excellent communication skills
• Maturity, professionalism, and a high level of discretion
• Experience working across multiple countries and currencies a plus
