    Senior Financial Quality Assurance Specialist

    Job description

    A Cape Town based financial company is seeking a Senior Financial Quality Assurance Specialist to be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality standards for all customer correspondence in the retail side of the business. The person will also be responsible for defining quality standards, measuring correspondence against these standards, and identifying training needs for employees who are falling outside of these standards to ensure each client receives the best service possible.

    Salary: R25K/m

    DUTIES

    • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
    • Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
    • Define and draft quality assurance policies and procedures
    • Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
    • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
    • Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
    • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
    • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
    • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
    • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
    • Responsible for document management systems
    • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
    • Collect and compile statistical quality data
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
    • Monitor risk management activities
    • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
    • Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
    • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience and/or certification in the following advantageous; Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma, Lean
    • 2-4 years quality inspection, auditing and coaching experience
    • 1-2 years’ experience with implementation of training or corrective action programs
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
    • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
    • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
    • Experience within financial services or retirement products preferable

    • Must be able to competently use Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
