    Data Quality Mentor-Pietermaritzburg

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

     Provide guidance and mentorship to facility-based data clerk teams 

    • Validating programme data quality criteria including data completeness, consistency and accuracy  
    • Alignment of Data quality and integrity to THINK Strategic intent. 
    • Interrogation of data quality reports as provided by data clerk teams

    Cleaner

    THINK is looking for a Cleaner to support the implementation of the THINK USAID TB LON project in KwaZulu-Natal Districts. The aim of the project is to safeguard advances of TB treatment by strengthening the TB health care platform in the district. The Cleaner will be based in KwaZulu-Natal Province (uMgungundlovu) and report to the THINK District Manager .

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Clean offices according to schedule and standards including but not limited to
    • Empty dustbins
    • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen
    • Clear rooms before and after meetings
    • Vacuum and wash floors
    • Clean windows
    • Wipe desks, tables, chairs and all other surfaces

    Data Clerk

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

    • Ensuring that health information systems (HIS) e.g., TIER.Net and EDR Web data completeness, consistency, accuracy and timeliness of reported data are maintained 
    • Provide additional back capturing data support to ensure no data backlogs 
    • Provide additional support with filing of TB patients’ clinical stationery  
    • Work with clinical teams within healthcare facilities to ensure quality TB data reporting 
    • Conduct routine data quality assessments (RDQA’s) on TB data across supported facilities 
    • Assist with the data input process to ensure data quality criteria are adhered  
    • Review of routine HIS data with THINK clinical mentors to identify areas of data reporting challenges  
    • Maintain a weekly portfolio of evidence (POE) of all HIS generated reports 
    • Report to the data quality mentors (DQMs) regarding data quality challenges 
    • Work closely with healthcare facility staff including DoH data capture to resolve data queries

    District TB Technical Lead

    Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • District technical leadership and managerial oversight in the technical implementation of project strategy in alignment with the Project’s key objectives and expected outcomes.
    • Provide technical support to District programmes, focusing on quality of TB services and expansion of private sector engagement,
    • Improving TB and drug-resistance TB case detection through the FAST approach and other strategies, linkage to care and treatment support,
    • Support the decentralisation of drug-resistant TB treatment, piloting of gender-responsive interventions, and interpreting and use of strategic information to strengthen the TB programme at District level.
    • Ensure that District Programmes are implemented in accordance with WHO and international best practices.
    • Provide technical advice for clinical management of adverse events, including SAE’s.
    • Foster relationships with district and provincial DOH, including clinical staff and medical practitioners
    • Collaborate with the TB Technical Lead and local partners to provide technical guidance to Implementing teams

    Enrolled Nursing Assistant

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Provide Support services to DOH TB facility staff
    • Record all presumptive TB in the TB identification register and send for TB investigations.
    • Increase and create demand for facility -based TB, STI, NCD and COVD19 screening and testing services during checking of vital signs.
    • Work hand in hand with TB facility health care workers in linking clients who have tested positive for TB, including recording in the register and linking to Tier.net or EDRWeb. Support health workers with household contract tracing
    • Support of TPT implementation for eligible contacts including children under 5
    • Request monthly lists of clients that need repeat scripts for TPT and refer for treatment.
    • Support tracing of all immediate lost to follow up (ILTF) and lost to follow up TB clients by liaising with DOH outreach teams
    • Support that all TB presumptive /diagnosed clients have been tested for HIV – if not make note to test them on their next visits.

    • Keep a register of all patients X-rayed (electronically), i.e. names of patients, exam and date done.  
    • Monitor radiation doses in respect of employees likely to be exposed to radiation, by maintaining a register, despatching radiation monitoring badges to relevant authorities on a monthly basis and arranging yearly radiation medicals for radiation workers within the project.

    • Maintain and controls an adequate stock level of printing paper, PPE, stationery, etc. by conducting monthly stock-takes and re-ordering stock from most suitable supplier/person.

    • Ensure procurement of office and other supplies for the programme offices and support facilities in line with set procurement procedures
    • Compile monthly reports on vehicle status & usage, fuelissued, servicing, etc.
    • Responsible for fleet operation tracking and reporting, including the creation of performance, efficiency, vehicle/equipment maintenance and reports.
    • Ensure that all District Managers understand and procure the licenses and permits needed

    Outreach Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Work closely with DOH clinics, WBOTs and CCGs to trace and link to care all DR patients in area of responsibility
    • Support WBOTS and DOH tracing teams to ensure contract tracing and screening is carried out on DR patient household and workplaces
    • Provide DOT support to patients and families through engagement with WBOTs and CCGs
    • Monitor and coordinate drug adherence via home visits and frequent contact with treatment supporters
    • Perform administrative duties such as providing intervention data and resolving data queries
    • Provide necessary information to the THINK Linkage Officers for maintenance of online application (CATT)

    • A Diploma or Degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, HR or similar
    • Strong working knowledge of Sage People 300 system
    • 2-3 years experience in a payroll related position
    • Clear criminal record
    • Previous NGO/ NPO experience 

    Payroll Processing

    • Gather all payroll data. 
    • Provide feedback to the organisation and send out reminders on leave and time sheet approvals to HR Officers on a monthly basis. 
    • Ensure that all payroll documents (salary schedule, all relevant payments, accurate payroll provisions) are accurate and forwarded for approval.  
    • Ensure accurate submission by ensuring that time sheets for all THINK employees/independent contractors/locums/temps, new starts, salary changes and all other relevant payroll documentation is compiled. 
    • Prepare and process monthly leave pay out and other pay-out reports. 
    • Ensure payslips are electronically prepared and saved. 
    • Maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made timeously 

    Payroll Administration

    • Responsible for an accurate payroll filing system and ensuring an accurate payroll database is in place. 
    • Responsible for coordination between payroll and HR, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data. 
    • Manage an up-to-date staff database and ensure that the employee headcount is updated monthly. 
    • Manage the administration and maintenance of all end of contracts procedures. 
    • Manage the maintenance of an accurate leave database of all employees, verify leave balances and report on leave monthly. 
    • Generate monthly leave status reports for management. 
    • Ensure that medical certificates for sick leave are supplied by employees where necessary to manage sick leave efficiently and uploaded on DRG system. 
    • Coordinate UIF for maternity and prepare relevant UI-19 for staff. 
    • Submit reports on employee time sheets. 
    • Responsible for the monthly processing of all new starters, terminations, payroll changes, timesheets, travel claims and any other related inputs  
    • Ensure that any relevant invoices are paid within 30 days 

    Self Management 

    • Identify own training needs and informs HRM 
    • Keeps abreast with all Human Resources policies and amendments 
    • Keeps abreast with all relevant legislation  
    • Constantly learn about the HR profession through research, subscribing to relevant publications and participating/attending relevant trainings.  Relay all new information to HRM so that suitable strategies can be developed and implemented and advise HR team. 
    • Be passionate about making the difference and add value to THINK 
    • Comply with all THINK rules and regulations and policies and procedures 
    • Perform other duties as required
