Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct housekeeping of laboratory  
• Clean laboratory and equipment 
• Ensure application of 5S (Sort, Set in order or Simplify, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) 
• Perform sampling and basic testing  
• Sample and test products 
• Perform routine chemical/microbiological procedures 
• Record test results

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide IT network support

• Provide 1st and/or 2nd line network support (trouble shooting, patching, etc.)    
• Perform daily checks of operational status of network         
• Ensure all support calls are completed as per PMA - KPI        
• Ensure 99.999 % uptime and support of area of responsibility (No unplanned downtime)        
• Ensure that all network systems are backed up and systems are operational     
• Ensure that core network & WAN backup systems are 100% operational         
• Provide 3rd level support and backup assistance to  IT Voice team        
• Take full ownership to resolve issues until resolved, keeping relevant parties notified throughout the process        
• Ensure proper escalation and tracking is followed        

Maintain and support network infrastructure

• Ensure proper network equipment setup and configuration         
• Ensure network cabling and racks are neat at all times        
• Ensure network equipment is neat and labelled         
• Install, configure and support of  all Wireless and network infrastructure        
• Provide 2nd level support to security infrastructure, Wi-Fi Scanner, etc.         
• 2nd level IP-CCTV network support        
• 2nd level WMS hardware network support        
• Ensure proper documentation is up to date (DRP processes, procedures, etc.)  
• Ensure asset list is kept up to date        
• Ensure all audit findings are addressed accordingly         

Monitor network performance

• Ensure that all network devices are configured correctly, monitored and maintained         
• 2nd line support for monitoring services (24x7) ensuring faulty equipment resolution        
• Unmonitored devices much be investigated and reported        
• Ensure network drawings are up to date         
• Ensure all configurations are backed up and accessible        
• Take steps to ensure network performance         
• Ensure back up links are working and operational to all branches        

Support infrastructure projects

• Provide support to new installations and network upgrades in line with operational requirements        
• Be involved in network related technical aspects        
• Provide supplier\third party assistance where required        
• Manage all new network installations  and ensuring quality of installation        
• Provide Security support, maintenance security posture
• Configuration & Support of 3rd party and internet and outside customers/clients VPN Services        
• Administration & Support of internet breakouts        
• Administration & support  of secure VPN services         
• Monitoring user behavior, and data usage on internet        
• Administration & Support of user access to Internet         
• Administration & Support of Internet Proxies, generation of usage reports        
• Administration & Support of Firewall        
• Daily maintenance and changes on firewall, forward and reverse proxies (rule changes)        
• Firewall and proxy software / security updates        
• Ensure network is secure and comply with the company security policy        
• Security breaches must be reported and dealt with as a matter of urgency        
• Access can only be giving as per the security policy
