    Local Business Line Manager Hoisting-Gauteng

    The position could double-hat with for example Local Sales, Service or Operations Manager. Depending on applicants

    Your responsibilities

    • Implementing the local business strategy and ensuring business development in the operating unit, with full responsibility for profit and loss in the country, responsibility for the business, including P&L & balance sheets in line with the strategy and set target
    • Drive productivity, delivery performance and cost, ensuring profitable business growth through devel-opment of performance target and ensuring achievement through regular oversight and definition of improvement action as needed.
    • Overseeing execution of high-quality products, project, services and process, monitoring quality met-rics, identifying opportunities for improvement in local execution, and overseeing improvement activi-ties.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and other external contacts as appropri-ate.
    • Drive Marketing and Sales, implementing new functional processes and tools, to maximize sales effi-ciency and effectiveness and act as important customer interface
    • Running the business end-to-end, i.e. front-end to back-end operations, including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Sourcing and Service.
    • Implementing and ensuring compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and pro-cesses related to operations/project execution, sharing functional best practice and lessons learned across the organization
    • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed, guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

    Your background

    • University degree in engineering, finance or other relevant field.
    • 5 years of experience in relevant industry.
    • Experience of hoisting business is an advantage, proven record of managing project and/or service organizations.
    • Proven track record of a successful leadership style that motivates people and organization.
    • Beneficial if previous experience of holding Profit & Loss responsibility, relevant markets, customers, technology and competition.
    • Proven sales acumen and experience in driving various ways to market.
    • Sales oriented, and builds strong relationships with all customers, engaging with senior executives from customer.
    • Strategical mindset but are also not afraid of being very operationally involved in the business, people-oriented leader that builds strong relationships internally as well as externally.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English
