    Senior Project Manager - Pretoria

    Brief Description        

    • The main purpose of this position is to manage projects within the Currency Management Department (CMD) by leading, planning, organizing and controlling resources in accordance with the South African Reserve Bank’s (SARB) approved project management methodology, and to deliver the project scope and objectives according to the specifications, on time and within budget.

    Detailed Description        
    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Define the project scope/brief and work breakdown structure (WBS) in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of deliverables and the approach.
    • Produce comprehensive project management plans that include scope, quality, risks, time, cost, human resources, procurement, integration, governance and communication, and confirm that these knowledge areas are regularly updated and maintained.
    • Ensure that all project documentation, deliverables and reports are produced, approved and maintained timeously, including close-out documents.
    • Identify and manage project risks, constraints and changes, and ensure that the project plans are managed and approved.
    • Establish and manage relationships with all stakeholders, role players and service providers to ensure commitment to a common goal.
    • Establish and effectively manage programme and project governance through setting standards and measuring compliance by means of engaging with a multi-disciplinary project team throughout the project life cycle, and clearly define roles and responsibilities of project team members for the delivery of project governance.
    • Direct and coordinate the activities of project resources to ensure the project progresses according to the approved schedule and produce the expected deliverables within budget and according to specifications and quality standards.

    Job Requirements        
    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or an equivalent qualification (at NQF7 level);
    • a project management qualification;
    • solid knowledge of the project management discipline; and
    • a minimum of five to eight years’ experience in project/programme management.

    Multimedia Officer - Pretoria

    Brief Description        

    • The main purpose of this position is to produce and manage interactive multimedia content to enhance the profile and image of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), for both internal and external stakeholders.

    Detailed Description        
    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Create, develop, manage and produce relevant and engaging multimedia content (video, animation, etc.) for internal and external communication channels by applying creative design principles.
    • Oversee the creative direction of multimedia content and projects by external providers.
    • Develop the storyboard and associated scripts to deliver on the content for projects, initiatives and campaigns.
    • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams for the creation of content across multiple channels.
    • Conduct and/or coordinate photo and video shoots as well as cinematographic tasks, as and when required.
    • Compile production schedules for identified multimedia projects to enable smooth and swift execution.
    • Oversee and direct the live-streaming of the SARB’s events.
    • Perform post-production content editing utilising appropriate multimedia design packages.
    • Manage and maintain the content library (i.e. sounds, pictures, graphics, video clips, virtual reality and digital animation) and the associated tools for efficient content production and packaging.
    • Maintain video channels, including Vimeo and YouTube, and ensure the content is customised, relevant and aligned to the SARB’s brand.
    • Source and maintain a database of multimedia vendors and talent.  
    • Monitor and evaluate the online performance of audiovisual content on current communication platforms and compile reports.
    • Remain current with technological and software developments regarding multimedia content production and incorporate these technologies to enhance the SARB’s digital platforms.
    • Ensure that the multimedia content produced adheres to approved processes and communication policies for all internal and external communications.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and multimedia companies to identify opportunities for the SARB to reach new audiences and expand the reach of existing ones.

    Job Requirements        
    To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

    • a minimum of a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Multimedia or Communications; and
    • a minimum three to five years’ experience in a communications, media or multimedia environment, with exposure to one or a combination of the following: graphic design, illustration and multimedia technology.
