    Sourcing Coordinator

    Job Description

    Truworths has an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Coordinator that has strong fashion, administration and travel experience to source innovative and adventurous product abroad.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the fast and cost effective purchase of finished goods
    • Negotiating prices and delivery dates
    • Building relationships with Suppliers and Manufacturers
    • Understand the workmanship involved and being able to suggest options to change fabric and construction
    • Disciplined to ensure that the critical path is met
    • Attention to detail as briefs need to be accurately executed, PLM System needs to be up to date
    • Trader instinct to ensure growth of the portfolio
    • Negotiation skills – Having the ability to negotiate prices and find win-win situations between Buyer and supplier pertaining to styling changes

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Previous experience in working and communicating directly with overseas suppliers
    • Strong administrative including strong written communication skills
    • Computer literate
    • Experience in working in a Manufacturing (or similar) background would be preferred
    • Previous experience managing a Sourcing Assistant
    • Has travelling experience and is able to travel abroad

    Fabric Administrator

    Job Description

    We are looking for someone to provide administrative support to the Fabric Buying Team to ensure efficient performance of the department

    Key Responsibilities
    GENERAL ADMINSTRATION

    • Maintain good channels of communication with both internal and external customers
    • Timeously submits bulk testing to TW's QA Lab on all bulk fabrics, where required
    • Accurately capture all samples / lab tests on PLM
    • Scan onto server all passed lab reports and save all passed lab reports to sync
    • Liaise with manger when labs fail and resubmit to lab
    • Send sampling for special washes e.g. Dry clean , Industrial wash for trousers
    • Ensure timeous submission and Buyer approval of Off-Bulk fabric samples
    • Hand Over off bulk to Merch Department and record in duplicate book – signed for
    • GRV all fabric receipts accurately on Sync when receiving the stock
    • Pick and dispatch fabric from sync and send dispatch note and lab report to CMT
    • Assists in advising production on any short or over deliveries/narrow width fabrics.
    • Assist Fabric Buyers with ITAC and Rebate paperwork when required
    • Keep a tidy work area and pack charity boxes for donations

    SYSTEMS & PROCESSES

    • Challenges the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and proposes modifications
    • Demonstrates an understanding of the merchandise related computer system Sync

    Qualifications and Experience
    Qualification/s:
    Matric

    Experience / Knowledge:

    • Previous work experience preferred and preferably within the manufacturing environment
    • Previous fabric experience an advantageCompetenciesOpen and Effective Communication
    • Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Having worked on the Sync system will be an advantage
    • Excel/Word proficient
