    Coca-Cola Creative Strategist – Africa

    What you will do:

    • Architect and align stakeholders to the integrated marketing strategy for brand or a portfolio of brands including supporting strategies for the base business and for innovations.
    • Proactively collaborate with the brand teams to identify opportunities for brand growth outside of the annual IMX process and translate those opportunities into actionable strategies.
    • Author and align key stakeholders to IMX briefs; lead agency briefings and identify innovative ways to measure the effectiveness of brand campaigns.
    • Provide strategic thought-leadership throughout the IMX process: guide adherence to (and when needed, evolution of) the strategy among internal teams and external agency partners; identify opportunities to bring consumer research and data into the process; help develop measurement plans to evaluate and optimize campaigns; foster a culture of collaboration that continually challenges and builds the brand team’s collective thinking.
    • Actively collaborate with the brand/category team to translate global/regional direction to Africa Operating Unit (where applicable) and to ensure that the strategy is relevant to consumers, positions the brand for future growth and can ultimately inspire differentiated marketing communications.

    About you:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. 

    Related Work Experience:

    • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
    • Experience working at and with world-class creative agencies and track record of inspiring big (ideally award-winning) creative thinking a plus.

    Senior Franchise Manager – Zambia and Mozambique

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategy and Business Performance:

    • Develop and implement 3 year BP and annual BP for assigned geography aligning bottler around key investment commitments
    • Approve and ensure execution of annual BBP(s) – manage opportunities and issues arising with Bottler LT
    • Approve and ensure execution of annual Customer Business Plans
    • Build business case for investment ensuring positive Bottler and Company EP

    Finance:

    • Manage P&L for the Region ensuring delivery of the Profit, Volume and Share numbers.
    • Fully understand the Bottler P&L and use it to create alignment. Also, provide thought leadership on cost leadership on system P&L
    • Ensure adherence to Local Chart of Authority, financial governance standards and management of Opex locally
    • Effectively adjust and correct during the annual cycle to ensure delivery of profit numbers

    Market Execution and Commercial Excellence:

    • Identify commercial and market development improvement initiatives to drive incremental volume, profit and value share
    • Ensure the Region or territory OBPPC is optimized leveraging Conjoint analysis and the BU experts
    • Drive the SFA, DOSA, RED agenda with the bottling partner(s)ensuring it is embedded into organizational culture
    • Actively pursue opportunities to improve our Route to Market, leveraging best practices
    • Ensure application of consumer programs designed to enhance consumer brand equity
    • Drive horizontal expansion through outlet creation incentive programmes
    • Manage Capacity to Produce and Distribute:
    • Lead the conversations with our bottling partners to agree investment levels to meet demand
    • Plan three years ahead for investment in Capacity, Glass and Coolers
    • Monitor capacity performance to anticipate opportunities or challenges in the Supply Chain

    Franchise Leadership:

    • Build value based and strategic “win-win” relationships with System partners at Bottler leadership team and regional levels
    • Lead strategic System capability planning to ensure we have the Processes, Organisation, Technology, Culture and People to deliver three year commitments

    External Stakeholders and Sustainability:

    • Represent the Company to all external stakeholders and all KO events
    • Manage the profile and reputation of the company and lobby Governments with the support of PAC
    • Assist fully in the execution of community programs designed to enhance KO reputation within the community

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a FMCG Company with at least 3 years in Operations. Functional experience would be an advantage. Bottler experiences an added advantage
    • Business degree qualification minimum, MBA preferable
    • Ability to balance interaction at multiple levels from Bottler Senior Management to sales force to retailers requires cultural sensitivity
    • Work effectively in a challenging Franchise environment building alignment whilst also managing the TCCC P&L
    • Cultural diversity specifics will depend on assigned geography characteristics

    Africa Data Analyst

    This role is responsible for collecting, interpreting and communicating Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability (PACS) insights and partnering with Operating Unit (OU) leads to convert them into actionable strategies, decisions and tactics. The ideal candidate will serve as a conduit between the PACS Services team and the OU, establishing a constant connection between both groups and forming a two-way communication channel that can be leveraged to achieve both OU and global business objectives. The role is critical to scaling PACS Services insights and tailoring them to help each OU reach its goals and influence stakeholders.  

    Responsibilities 

    • Define OU-specific PACS KPIs and outline the optimal means of tracking them over time 
    • Help quantify the success of PACS communications campaigns and initiatives  
    • Design and develop visualizations to support the needs of stakeholders and partners 
    • Drive the design of our corporate reputation survey and ensure key attributes and data points are accounted for within the questionnaire  
    • Leverage corporate reputation, sustainability and communications data to provide strategic feedback and recommendations to OU leadership  
    • Design and oversee ad hoc research based on topical events, campaigns or issues, collaborating with Human Insights and Marketing Analytics teams as needed 
    • Communicate OU-specific insights with other members of the PACS Services team  
    • Provide regular updates to OU leadership on corporate reputation and performance 
    • Clearly communicate OU needs and requirements to the global PACS Services Data and Analytics team 

    Deliverables 

    • Semi-regular corporate reputation reporting, benchmarks and recommendations 
    • Ongoing internal and external communications performance  
    • KPI measurement for campaigns and events  
    • Media penetration reporting based on insights gleaned from Factiva and other sources 
    • Knowledge Center training for team members, partners and bottlers 

    Qualifications & Requirements 

    • 3+ years of experience in Data or Analytics, Communications, Media, Public Affairs, Sustainability, Consumer Insights or Market Research 
    • Able to conceptualize frameworks and research models for diverse marketing and consumer insights problems 
    • Capable of tackling structured and unstructured problems while coordinating all phases of analysis from formulation to conclusions and recommendations 
    • Comfortable with large amounts of data and qualitative insights 
    • Clear and confident communicator and presenter  
    • Proven track record of using data to create strategic recommendations and narratives 
    • Experience working in networked, cross-functional and cross-geographical teams 

    Nice-To-Have Experience 

    • Knowledge of market research techniques  
    • Coca-Cola system knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the soft drink industry  
    • Experience leveraging digital products and tools   
    • Prior experience working in multiple markets
