    Job Purpose

    • To assist with the implementation of the business investment philosophy through data analysis, research and support functions in line with Nedbank Group strategy, through the Nedbank Corporate and Investment banking (NCIB) Young Analyst Programme

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assess needs and provide solutions Interacting with internal and external clients.
    • Provide feedback and make business presentations to stakeholders.

    Audit Portfolio Manager: Model Risk

    Job Purpose

    To deliver on the annual audit plan thereby providing reasonable assurance to stakeholders that key risks are being mitigated through adequate and effective management controls in accordance with Group Internal Audit (GIA) methodology.

    Each model audit assesses model design, model documentation, quality of model inputs and data, model implementation (usage) and model governance. It assesses the following models: Credit Risk Models, Market Risk Models, IFRS9, Pricing Models, Liquidity Risk Models, Pillar II Risk Models, Stress Testing Models, Regulatory & Economic Capital Models, Financial Crime Risk Models, Affordability Models/Tools.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Reviewing key aspects of each model under review: model design, model documentation, quality of model inputs, model implementation and model governance

    • Performing audit fieldwork in terms of the audit program.

    • Documenting the audit testing performed.

    • Stakeholder engagements on audit issues identified.

    • Drafting of audit report: including executive summary and detailed audit findings.

    • Evaluating and monitoring of corrective actions taken to address control weaknesses identified.

    • Attendance of key risk committee and technical risk committee meetings where relevant

    • Interaction with the regulating authorities on model related matters.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 4- 7 years extensive experience in model development, testing and validation or Model/Quantitative risk Audit (preferably within the banking or similar financial services industry);

    • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision;

    • Knowledge of statistical, financial, risk and quantitative methods;

    • Proficiency in programming software packages such as SAS, SQL, R, VBA, PYTHON and MATLAB.

    • Understanding of credit, operational, market and liquidity risk models as defined by Basel II & III will be advantageous

    • A comprehensive understanding of relevant financial services regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements as well as practical experience of these.

    • Extensive internal/external audit and / or risk management experience in banking 

    • Actuarial and/or Market Risk experience.(e.g., engineering), or a Chartered Accountant with credit risk experience.

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Preferred Qualification

    • Degree in Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Actuarial Science, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering), or a Chartered Accountant with credit risk experience.

    Delivery Manager

    Job Purpose

    To manage (end to end) the strategy; planning; organising; negotiating; staffing directing and controlling of all aspects of projects or programmes for a portfolio in ensuring the successful implementation of IT Projects and to realise the business cluster strategy.     Job Responsibilities

    • Assist in defining the operational business requirements of the business (KPI'S, SLA's processes and procedures and reporting ) through translating organisational strategy into functional strategy and assigning accountability to relevant stakeholders

    • Effectively manage the delivery of services to the stakeholders by establishing governance forums and by understanding, assessing and managing escalated risks associated with programmes and projects

    • Optimise the effectiveness of resources through modelling capacity requirements across full portfolio and by understanding and communicating impact of capacity requirements

    • Ensure optimal organising of environment by specifying the nature of capacity requirements in alignment with strategic priority and by actively managing the capacity of the project managers in the team and negotiate where capacity constraints occur

    • Ensure end to end design is aligned to architecture road maps by understanding the landscape and through regular engagement with relevant stakeholders

    • Ensure effective optimisation of systems, processes and technology by doing route cause analysis and taking corrective measurement and ensuring standards defined per technology with regard to integrations are adhered to

    • Take responsibility for implementation of programme and project governance that aligns to project methodologies, processes and project disciplines

    • Continuously encourage customer centricity by defining/developing tiered SLA's in order to improve delivery and cost efficiencies

    • Define and agree service level of operational and call centre support - including support and maintenance, application health and stability

    • Escalate project performance to relevant board  by clearly showing business objectives according to business cases

    • Ensure optimal team delivery by considering and making amendments to processes, structures, operating models and business plans

    • Ensure transformational target are met  through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment, retention and training process and utilising suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list for department

    • Ensure project execution of the end to end life cycle of all portfolio programmes and projects relating to the implementation of IT projects according to the project methodology and strategy.Ensure successful project delivery by dealing with escalated project issues, non delivery conflicts and integration

    • Enhance the credibility of the function by reviewing project metrics and by meeting with the project managers to give direction to project execution

    • Successful execution of Innovation and Technical projects through the Project Management Office

    Job Purpose

    Work with the Business Design Lead to craft and innovate business models using design thinking processes for desirable propositions to enhance overall strategy and make Nedbank more disruptive and aggressive to existing and new-to-market competitors. To support the innovation process and creation of disruptive opportunities for the bank.

    Job Responsibilities

    •    Solution design across multiple technologies/products
    •    Drive the stakeholder understanding & strategy creation within projects and business development overall
    •    Analyse the market (competitor and target segment) and provide market insights for the design team
