Job Description
The Marketing Leads Consultant is expected to be dynamic, motivated and solutions driven person, supporting the leads generation initiatives for Discovery Connect. The successful consultant has the ability to be flexible, adaptable and as the ability to build relationships within and outside of Discovery , with the aim to grow D2C interest in the Discovery product range and generate quality leads.
The consultant is expected to support leads opportunities for Discovery Connect through an on-going opimisation of existing processes, investigate new leads ideas, have the ability to drive lead generation campaigns with third parties (e.g. radio stations and retailers), and work together with the digital team on leads generation opportunities across all Discovery products.
Key Outputs
The successful individual will be required to perform on, but not limited to the following key outputs:
- Collaborate with the product-specific marketing teams to coordinate lead generations initiatives
- Work together with Discovery staff to resolve queries and escalations
- Communicate with lead suppliers and drive optimisation of leads quality
- Investigate and drive new leads generation initatives
- Compile leads generation reports for management and billing
- Monitor leads generated on a daily and weekly basis
- Keep up-to-date with competitor product and service offerings and industry developments
- Has the ability to validate the technical solution against business requirements for leads generation.

Qualification & Experience
- Minimum 3-year undergraduate degree or diploma
- Minimum of 2 years-experience in Marketing, PR or Communication
- Relevant industry experience

Key Purpose of the role
- The processing of new and existing business quotations.
- Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to
- Liaise with internal client’s such as Servicing Consultants, Group risk Franchises, Administration and Management.
- Analyzing the risk and the profitability of each scheme.
- Monitoring the profitability of existing business - this is done during the revision process.
- Analyzing the claims experience and making suggestions to the Pricing Manager regarding Group Risk Terms.
- Knowledge of all the risk factors such as occupation and industry, admin and profit factors and their interdependency.
- Knowledge of all the Retirement (Provident & Pension Funds).
- Knowledge of components of Umbrella business Inclusive, Admin Cost, Exclusive
- Preparation and distribution of quote documents Group Risk and or Umbrella.
- Illustration of the value proposition of Discovery’s benefit enhancements.
- Analyzing of raw data

Education and Experience
- Matric Mathematics (essential)
- Maths or Actuarial degree would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience in data analysis recommended.
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Keen knowledge of the insurance industry. Trends, new developments and other underwriter’s objectives (Advantageous)
- A sound mathematical knowledge is essential.
- Statistical knowledge advantageous.
- A qualification in the insurance industry advantageous.
- Must have passed a major Mathematics or Statistics course at first year level at Tertiary
- 1 year Risk Pricing experience within the Insurance Industry
