    Financial Manager - Piet Retief

    Job Summary

    The Grain Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial management of Grain division. The individual will be responsible for efficiently managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, analysing financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to improve the division’s profitability and growth.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Prepare accurate and timely management statements, reports, and forecasts
    • Analyse financial data, perform variance analysis, and identify trends to assess financial performance and highlight improvement areas
    • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making processes
    • Develop and maintain annual and long-term financial budgets and forecasts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
    • Monitor and report actual financial performance against the budget, highlighting areas of concern or potential risk
    • Make recommendations to management regarding financial adjustments or corrective actions based on budget deviations
    • Develop and maintain a system of internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and maintain compliance with financial regulations
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
    • Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits
    • Identify and timeously monitor systems to ensure that financial control systems are in place for specific operations
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Operations, Sales, and Legal, to provide financial insights and support for decision making

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree in finance is desirable
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the grain trading or agricultural commodities industry
    • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations
    • Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
    • Familiarity with risk management strategies
    • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
    • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines

    Diesel Mechanic - Bethal

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Reassemble agricultural equipment following repair; test operation; and make adjustments as necessary
    • Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions
    • Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools
    • Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, machines, welding equipment, grinders, or saws
    • Inspect or test parts to determine nature or cause of defects or malfunctions
    • Recommend product or component design improvements based on data and observations
    • Maintain test equipment in operational condition by performing routine maintenance or making minor repairs or adjustments as needed
    • Complete all documentation including worksheets, certificates, receipts and applying signatures as appropriate
    • Inspect equipment for safety prior to use, and perform necessary basic maintenance tasks

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Computer literate
    • Qualified Diesel Mechanic (red seal)
    • At least 3 years' experience as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
    • Experience on agricultural equipment
    • Experience on New Holland / Case tractors (advantageous)
    • Knowledge on precision planters and precision sprayers (advantageous)
    • Any related courses on the above (advantageous)
    • Willing to work overtime and travel
    • Valid drivers license

    Cashier - Dundee

     Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Bag, box, wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment
    • Compute and record transactions
    • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
    • Sort, count and wrap notes and coins
    • Establish or identify prices of goods and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical scanners
    • Greet customers entering establishments
    • Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
    • Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
    • Receive payment by cash or card
    • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
