    Global Mobility Services Tax Consultant

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • To be proficient in all aspects of personal and employees’ tax consulting and compliance with a particular focus on cross border movements of natural persons (including audit support, due diligence and payroll reviews).

    Key responsibilities:

    • Advising clients on a wide range of individual and employees’ tax matters – both in relation to local and expatriate individuals
    • Preparation of tax calculations and tax returns
    • Preparation and submission of objections or appeals to incorrect assessments or submission of requests for reduced assessments.
    • Proficient in dealing with day-to-day SARS operational issues including attending SARS e-bookings, where required.
    • Preparation of expatriate payroll calculations
    • Produce accurate work to a high technical standard
    • Interpret facts and apply theoretical knowledge
    • Draft technically correct advice for review
    • Prioritise workload and meet required deadlines
    • Assist with research
    • Build credibility with colleagues and clients by using effective communication skills
    • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute effectively to discussions
    • Actively participate in technical training for continuous professional development
    • Assist with the preparation of proposals
    • Assist with timeous project billing
    • Adapt to a changing work environment and accommodate changing client demands

    IT Audit Assistant Manager

    Description
     
    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • The IT Audit Assistant Manager is responsible for scoping, planning and managing a team to execute the reengineering of financial statement and internal audits to optimally leverage our client’s information systems and data as well as technologies available to the firm to achieve efficiency, risk mitigation, optimal assurance and differentiation. Managing of teams in the execution of large or complex audit clients.
    • The secondary purpose is advising clients in managing risks associated with information management, information technology governance, business systems risk management, project risk management and information security.
    • Experience in performing IT audits and auditing the IT systems of external and internal audit clients, specifically in the Banking, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Markets and Insurance industries is required for this specific position. Experience in IT Attestation audits (ISAE3402, SOC 1) and PCAOB audits is advantageous.
    • You will also be responsible for providing coaching and guidance to junior colleagues on engagements.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Analysing audit strategy and plans
    • Defining ideal target audit approaches that leverage technology and data analysis
    • Engaging with audit and internal audit partners and managers to work together with them in teams
    • Team leadership
    • Providing insight to our audit clients about IT in their businesses in presentations and reports

    • Review and quality assurance of deliverables
    • Develop internal and external client relationships
