    Service Sales Manager : PGGA

    Your responsibilities

    • You will be responsible for sales activities for the service business focusing on SLA's, Refurbishment, retrofit and upgrade projects.
    • Ensuring positive customer experience throughout all stages of sales process.
    • Deploying useful sales techniques to create added value to customer and Hitachi Energy.
    • Communicating proposals and contracts details in accordance with Hitachi Energy strategy.
    • Preparing sales plans and risk reviews using the company tools.
    • Identifying and capturing new market opportunities and ensure know-how sharing.
    • Embracing synergies and collaboration within Hitachi Energy Business units or divisions.
    • Following sales processes and support project management activities if needed.
    • Preparing offers ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspect including prices and trading conditions.
    • Supporting the improvement of internal sales and management systems and processes and specific management of opportunities on Sales Force.
    • Developing qualitative documentation associated with large scale contracts and associated pricing structures and requirements.

    Your background

    • A bachelor’s or Btech degree engineering, or equivalent or master’s degree is a business administration is a plus.
    • Minimum 10 to 15 years' experience in transmission and distribution networks in Southern Africa.
    • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding Sales target.
    • Proven strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of contractual terms and condition.
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

    Segment Sales Lead

    Your responsibilities:

    • Creating, planning and implementing sales strategy, and strategic sales, business development initiatives whilst ensuring profitability in alignment with the global sales strategy. Achieves sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency.
    • Establishing sales targets and ensures sales achievement in the Sub-Saharan Africa region through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
    • Identifying opportunities for existing and potential new customers within the Sub-Saharan Africa region and determines plans for customer acquisition in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
    • Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitors and provides reports to the Marketing and Sales organization on market intelligence.
    • Working with the Business unit Market Managers to coordinate sales activities between the business units and exploit synergies across the company.
    • Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision makers. Ensures efficient marketing communications.
    • Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales. Participates in negotiations of key contracts. Manages ongoing costs.
    • Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal stakeholders. Identifies and manages potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels.
    • Growing visibility, knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration across the sales team locally, regionally and globally. 
    • Managing the strategic relationship with renewable developers, EPCs and other players in the renewables landscape.  Lead the development and implementation of the account plans for significant players to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element. Propose recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.

    Your background            

    • A bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering.
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
    • Relevant Degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Strong relationship building, networking and collaboration skills are needed.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in customer relationship building business development and sales in the power renewables environment.
    • Proven track record of sales of projects or project development in Southern and East Africa
    • ECSA Professional registration is desirable

    Associate Inspection & Testing Engineer

    Your responsibilities          

    • Supporting Test Engineers with product and system testing, preparing standard test procedures and completing test documentation, adhering to safety standards while performing duties and performing factory acceptance testing with customers.
    • Following work plans and cost estimates for work in one’s area of responsibility and ensuring quality and timely implementation within targeted cost.
    • Supporting risk assessments to assure safe systems of work and taking appropriate actions.
    • Using standard processes and tools and will be required from time to time to assist commissioning engineers on site.

    Your background            

    • A bachelor’s or national diploma degree in electrical or power engineering is required.
    • Minimum 3 years of work experience in relative fields with at least 2+ years of functional testing protection, control, and substation automation systems.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills and must be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with other stakeholders of the project.
    • Demonstrable basic knowledge of power systems and substations, knowledge of protection relays, and testing tools like test universe are highly desirable.
    • Grasps new or unfamiliar concepts quickly and can effectively deal with complexity.
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
