    Senior Dams Engineer

    Job description

    Introduction

    The Dams, Hydropower & Underground Sector is looking for a qualified, experienced professional to complement their team, in the form of a Senior Dams Engineer.

    About This Role

    You will be required to provide high quality design, constructability, cost estimation and construction supervision support of dam, hydropower and other water related engineering projects.

    Specification

    In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

    • Develop concept options.
    • Liaise with clients, authorities, and internal and external project managers.
    • Lead the technical design and review of all dams types, such as earth embankment, CFRD, and RCC.
    • Manage dam, hydropower, and other water related projects.
    • Identify, pursue and develop work opportunities in the Dams, Hydropower and Underground Works Sector.

    Desired Skills And Experience

    Requirements

    You Will Attract Our Interest If This Describes You

    • Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably MSc level
    • 15-20 years of dam design and project leader experience
    • PrEng or equivalent
    • English fluency
    • Sound technical knowledge of contract and construction procedures, and
    • Skilled in FIDIC and other contract forms

    This Sector is looking for a talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Graduate Engineer, in the regions Western Cape; Gauteng and KZN.

    The core purpose of the job is to provide graduates a growth path to gain experience in all signalling engineering aspects (Project management, Design, Site) during their first 4 years.
