    Responsibilities

    Equipment Operation and Maintenance

    • Check that all machinery are operational Mechanically & Electrically, such as greasing, oils, bearings etc and electrically loose wiring, DB Boards locked and cleaned etc.
    • Assist Engineering Department with general maintenance issues.

    Overview

    The role will be reporting directly to AMESA SC VP rather than the Technical Services Director Additional responsibility have been added to the original scope by identifying in-field mechanization and automation opportunities to support better quality of potato, reduce manual interventions, optimize operational efficiency of the Agro Manpower for better Potato post harvest management and decision support for inspection and rejections for Potato quality.  

    Responsibilities

    • The role is the digitization transformation leader for AMESA Agro supply chain leading all new apps/tools, dashboards and score cards and drive already existing tools.
    • The person is responsible of developing and updating digitization strategy for AMESA Agro supply chain and secure top management approvals and funds (CAPEX and OPEX)
    • The role is the link between supply chain, IT and external servie providers for all technical services digitization initiatives

    H&S Associate Director – EHS Environment Compliance, AMESA Sector HQ

    Overview

    • Serve as the PepsiCo AMESA lead on EHS sector lead ensuring all sites are operating to legal, in addition to PEPSICO standards, for all aspects inclusive of wastewater discharge, ammonia, air emissions, chemicals, spills management, waste management and portable water.
    • Drive implementation of EHS Environmental and EHS standards to ensure external certifications (14001 / 18001) are maintained

    Responsibilities

    Fleet Controller - Parow CDC Snacks-ZAF

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for

    We are looking for a Fleet Controller to join our dynamic team. The candidate can be based in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth or Durban and will be reporting to the 3rd Party & Fleet Supervisor. The purpose of the role is to oversee all aspects of vehicle management, including safety, training and maintenance budget; assign tasks to drivers, DCMs and suppliers ensuring the coordination of safety critical maintenance for the fleet; continuously monitor the Fleet department’s efficiency and performance and look for ways to improve productivity and ensure vehicle uptime to meet customer demand requirements including managing additional rental vehicles to provide capacity

    The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following:

    • To vet and authorise National R&M, Rentals, Tyre quotations and Fleet Other Expenses .
    • Scheduling of Services for the National Fleet- approx. 500 vehicles
    • Manage inland fleet and conduct fleet audits.
    • Manage and maintain the national Fleet listing and Route number allocation.
    • Assist with Route Engineering projects and work together with the Simba Sales Productivity Team
    • Ensure national Fleet Departments meets SOA’s and is in line with Health and Safety Objectives.
    • To ensure all Fleet Controllers attend DC Visits and DC Visit forms are submitted correctly on monthly basis. Identify exceptions and action weekly.
    • Provide lowest level fleet general ledger variance reporting by branch on monthly basis. Submit monthly fleet cost review report deck.
    • Ensure that Audit and SOA levels are met.
    • Manage BP Masana & OTI Africa Fuel TABS reports and ensure exceptions are resolved monthly. Ensure all OTI Fuel masters units in the region are fully functional and faults resolved within 5 days.
    • Manage the Geotab management reports and Identify exceptions and action weekly. Ensure all Geotab Telematics units are downloading and fully operational. All exceptions to be resolved within 5 days.
    • Manage Fleet Availability and Readiness.
    • Manage Simba’s national exposure to traffic legislations and regulation for all trucks. Report monthly.
    • Provide accurate AOP data with trend analysis for Fleet budgets annually.
    • Manage direct reports’ personal growth and development through applying the necessary coaching techniques, providing guidance on choice of internal training programmes and applying the PDR and CDAP programmes appropriately.
    • Work with suppliers and DCMs to ensure sound repairs and tyre management practices and processes.
    • Ensure monthly meetings are conducted with each of the relevant responsible DC’s to discuss any fleet related issues. Also provide feedback on previous issues and draw up action plans on current issues with the DC Manager monthly.
    • Have weekly discussions with Fleet Controllers and relevant DCM’s to discuss HHC Checklist issues and draw up action plans to resolve any urgent issues.
    • Manage all exceptions that might jeopardise the operation of the distribution fleet must be dealt with timeously.
    • Provide Fleet Management with weekly Fleet Expenditure reports to track maintenance budgets.

    Overview

    • The TR Lead is responsible for shaping and leading the reward strategy of the BU to attract, retain, engage, and motivate employees, as well as advising business leaders on the best practices for total reward processes.
