    Digital Content Producer

    Job Description

    • This role is responsible for developing and producing high-quality content across a range of digital platforms, including social media, blogs, email newsletters, and video. The successful candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills, as well as a strong understanding of content marketing best practices. Utilising a strategic blend of creative flair and data-driven insights, consistently deliver high-quality content across multiple digital platforms, optimising for SEO and audience targeting. Proficient in content ideation, creation, and distribution, with a keen eye for visual design and storytelling. Effective collaborator, adept at aligning with cross-functional teams to execute campaigns that meet and exceed performance objectives, while staying abreast of industry trends and evolving best practices.     Skills & requirements

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLSET:

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Content Creation

    • Create compelling and engaging content for customer and Byte Orbit projects’ websites, blogs, social media channels, and email newsletters.
    • Conduct research to identify relevant topics and trends to inform content creation.
    • Optimise content for search engines and drive the implementation through the delivery process. 
    • Provides input into briefing and writing copy for video content.
    • Assist with managing content production and coordinate with team members across the Digital Marketing and Design teams.

    Driving engagement

    • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute campaigns that drive traffic and engagement.
    • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
    • Conduct keyword research for blog posts and website content.

    Social Media

    • Schedule social media content and upload blogs to the content management system.
    • Assist with setting up ads on social media. (Training can be provided if required.) 

    Reporting and Analysis

    • Monitor and analyse content performance metrics and use data to inform future content strategies.

    Accountant

    Job Description

    • The Accountant position presents an enticing prospect for those with ambitions in the tech industry and a hunger for challenges. Your duties will include accurate processing, recording, and reporting of financial records for Byte Orbit and its associated companies, with the potential to manage financial activities for additional entities in the future. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in compiling financial reports and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will collaborate closely with our Junior Bookkeeper and report directly to the Financial Manager, making it an ideal fit for someone looking to merge their financial acumen with a passion for technology.

    Skills & requirements

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLSET:

    • Accounting qualification (Diploma, Degree or Equivalent)
    • 3 Years experience in the accounting field
    • 1 Year experience in the tech environment would be  advantageous 
    • Xero and Simplepay experience would be advantageous
    • SARS experience
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Knowledge of IFRS

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Bookkeeping and Accounting 

    • Review the accuracy and timely recording and classification of financial transactions into accounting software, i.e. Xero and Simplepay.
    • Review the reconciliation of bank statements with the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies and perform complex reconciliations or assist junior staff to resolve issues.
    • Assisting with the preparation of customer invoices and reconciliations.
    • Review and assist with monthly or bi-monthly VAT returns.    
    • Submission of FICA documents to suppliers for onboarding purposes, when applicable.
    • Assist and review the timeous submission of payments for authorisation to the CFO or Financial Manager
    • Assist in the procurement procedure.
    • Assist with budgeting processes.

    Payroll Services 

    • Reviewing the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including calculating salaries and wages.
    • Submission of the EMP201 and EMP501 declarations to SARS for the respective period.
    • Submit UI-19 declaration to the Department of Labour after the payroll run has been completed.

    Financial Reporting

    • Assist with providing Annual Financial Statements by 3 months after the accounting records have been finalized for the relevant period.
    • Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and monthly management accounts.

    Taxation Services 

    • Assisting with provisional  tax calculations.
    • Collation of information for income tax submissions.

    Ad hoc duties 

    • Ensuring the filing of company records is up to date and accurate.
    • Timeous and accurate performance of ad-hoc requests from management.

    Product Manager

    Job Description

    • The product manager is responsible for identifying the customer needs and the business objectives that a product will fulfil. They are responsible for articulating success metrics and rallying a team to turn that vision into a reality. They are also responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet the customer and business needs. This role also supports and champions the relevant  “Go to Market” activities.   This role remains entrenched in the product for the duration of the product life cycle forming the bridge between the business, tech and design. This role will require the ability to balance technical, business and user considerations, continuously gather user feedback, and make data-driven decisions to drive the product's success in the market.  

    Skills & requirements

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLSET

    • The position will require someone with at least 3-4 years of experience as a product/ project manager in the tech industry. A qualification (Certificate, Diploma or Degree) in project management, Information Systems or anything related would be to your advantage.
    • Understanding user needs, preferences, and pain points is at the core of product management.
    • A strong understanding of software development processes, technologies, and methodologies would be highly beneficial. 

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Product Vision and Strategy:

    • Define and communicate product vision and strategy
    • Act as the customer advocate in the development team articulating users' needs
    • Work with the business and Product Designer to define what problems to solve through continuous discovery activities

    Define & manage the delivery of product value:

    • Analyse software documentation (e.g. API documentation) where necessary to aid in technical decisions
    • Understand and communicate a software system's technical stack at a high level.
    • Clearly define project context deliverables and outcomes

    Define and manage peripheral, supplementary and complementary product requirements:

    • Assist in identifying relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in identifying the operational environment necessary to manage the product post-launch.
    • Communicate operational, compliance and regulatory requirements to the Product Owner to ensure relevant features are delivered.
    • Facilitate the activities related to the product launch. This includes the development and/or distribution of customer communications, launch plans, coordinating launch activities, ensuring relevant materials and collateral are prepared, etc. 
    • Facilitate setup of all customer experience and operational requirements, training materials, and operational and procedural documentation

    Project & product reporting:

    • Provide analytics and success metrics reporting to stakeholders, including deriving insights and making recommendations 
    • Provide the necessary analysis on product success metrics and report on product success iteratively, with insight on impacted business and product goals.
    • Manage and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that is used to update stakeholders.

    Manage development projects & stakeholder relationships:

    • Brief the scrum team with any new work in good time so that the necessary planning can be done and the backlog can be managed
    • Run iteration planning and retrospective meetings with the Scrum Master
    • Plan and schedule resources with Scrum Master
