    Supply Chain Analyst

    Purpose

    Be a first-class business partner for the Site Production teams by generating and collating financial data, ensure integrity of financial data. Identify and access performance and risks and take or recommend business decisions and actions for the relevant business unit [PP&l, Cellars and Packaging] to assist and enable fact-based decision making and product and operating cost management. Be the guardian of HEINEKEN assets and reputation through improved financial controls, managed financial risks and clear & transparent information on business performance
     
    Key Responsibilities

    • Be a co-pilot to Site Production teams in decision making through solicited and unsolicited advice based on financial analysis and in-depth knowledge of business operations.
    • Support the business planning cycle of the Site (Strategic Plan, Annual Plan and Latest Estimates).
    • Prepare and critically analyse monthly results and deliver timely management reports which include commentaries, KPIs, graphs, internal/external insights and/or benchmarks.
    • Manage and assess business unit performance against standards including: OEE, O/T, costing standards, Routing on SAP and recommend performance improvement or standards adjustment
    • Analyse and report on weekly and monthly production order variances, provide early warnings on deviations, advise on corrective/mitigating actions; review loss trends; ensure that the production Bill of Materials are correct and up to date.
    • Ensure reliability & integrity of accounting records (accounts and cost centres) and financial information (P&L and balance sheet) through regular controls and financial awareness of functions.
    • Ensure short-term interval controls are effective. Continuously review site financial control processes and identify possible risk. Propose and implement solutions/controls to strengthen control environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Perform monthly audits to ensure adherence to internal control principles and assist in stock verification as and when required.
    • Support business unit to ensure adherence to financial control policies (financial, IT and materials) and procedures and good corporate governance principles & practices.
    • Adhere to Excise policies and procedures and ensure documentation and administration is suitably maintained.
    • Ensure adherence and provide necessary support to the capital expenditure process as well as ensuring validity and accuracy of the asset register.
    • Involved in stock management and assist with stock takes, identification of slow moving and obsolete stock. Escalate to management team any stock risks.
    • Participate in cross site audits and stock takes.
    • Develop level 2 & 3 management financial competencies / capability in business unit

    Education and Experience 

    • BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification completed.
    • CIMA/ BCom Accounting honours advantages.
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the area of Management Accounting and/or Controlling,
    • ideally in Supply Chain. FMCG experience advantageous.
    • Intellectual curiosity and ability to search out facts without prior process/guidance.
    • Passion for delivering result, take ownership and translating insights into concise practical plans.
    • Strong interpersonal/communication/influencing skills to challenge and win support and drive
    • decision making.
    • Excellent team player with strong oral and written communication skills.
    • High level of cross functional cooperation: effectively partnering with various teams.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Drive for improvements and changes.
    • Sound knowledge of MS office and SAP with specific importance to manufacturing.
    •  Ability to prepare simple/medium complexity business cases and models.

    In Service Trainee - Utilities

    Purpose of the position:

    The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their final year/completed their studies and require exposure in awork environment and require practical work experience to obtain their qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter a 12-month contract commencing 01 March 2024 and terminating on 28 February 2025.

    Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to):

    To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

    • South African Citizen
    • Satisfactory academic record and in final year of obtaining relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma in chemical engineering).

    Maturation Controller - Paarl

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Transfer of unmatured product into barrels
    • Transferring of matured product out of barrels
    • Quality control for product into maturation
    • Effective maturation loss control
    • Effective Barrels stock management
    • Samples preparation, participation in organoleptic evaluation and sample analysis
    • Co-ordinate and assist with monthly stock take
    • Effective record keeping for all maturation activities
    • Accurately complete all departmental administrative tasks including SAP transactions
    • Assist with planning of daily departmental activities
    • Ensure maturation related equipment is maintained and in good working condition
    • Assist with risk control on site and effectively support all site SHERQ initiatives
    • Liaise with cooperage on barrel related activities
    • Accurate updating of maturation volumes on the whisky model
    • Effective supervision and development of staff
    • Championing TPM activities
    • Execution of Ad-hoc duties supporting Maturation related projects and initiatives

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, experience, skills and attributes:

    • Grade 12, preferably with Maths and Science
    • Minimum 3 years in a production/manufacturing environment
    • Relevant experience in a leadership capacity will be highly advantageous
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Experience in stock control
    • Experience in key budgeting principles and cost control
    • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Basic SAP knowledge)
    • Be highly organised with excellent planning and time management skills
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
    • Own reliable transport with a valid code 8 drivers’ license
    • A valid code 10 driver’s license will be an advantage
    • Contribute to problem-solving activities
    • Willingness to work long, irregular hours when required
    • Punctuality and attendance reliability

    Ops Manager - Louis Trichardt

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to: 

    Ensuring cost effective warehousing and distribution of company products are maintained for the region 

    • Develop, communicate and lead execution of regional plans that support Logistics operations. 
    • Plans to reflect: Optimal Transport management, Warehouse and Inventory Management, Financial Management 
    • Be the custodian of best practice in the region 
    • Champion central led initiatives in the region 
    • Ensure that Operational Costs cents per litre is contained through continual investigation and improvement of asset utilization and effective warehouse management 

    Establish and drive a customer centric culture in the region 

    • Routines and mechanisms employed to ensure that all supporting and outsourced providers are aligned to the customer service imperative and deliver on standard. 
    • Develop a regional customer service plan to support Regional and Group account sales and aligned to achieve stated SA Logistics customer service targets. 
    • Establish and manage a reporting framework for the region to ensure that Depot execution supports regional customer service plan. 
    • Develop and execute plan in conjunction with regional sales and Trade Marketing. 

    Ensure strict adherence to Corporate Governance 

    Develop a culture of audit fitness across all levels in the region. Control Measures such as:  

    • ICC’s  
    • ISO requirements 
    • Owner Driver Audits 
    • Operations Excellence 
    • Cash Handling  
    • In conjunction with Regional Risk resource, develop, communicate and monitor Operational risk and mitigation plans for the region 
    • Drive initiatives in region to ensure adherence to corporate governance framework
