    What will you do?

    • Responsible for telephonic orders right through to despatch and delivery. Follows up queries regarding orders received. Canvasses telephonically for new business from existing and potential clients.

    Business VIP Specialist

    What will you do?

    • Building strong broker and direct client relationships

    Minimum Qualifications Required

    • Grade 12
    • Full FAIS commercial qualification
    • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training must be up to date

    Minimum Experience

    • Proven sales track record with a minimum of 3 years broker sales experience within a commercial insurance environment either as a broker or in a business development role
    • Thorough understanding of commercial insurance products 
    • Any client servicing related experience will be advantageous
    • Any underwriting experience will be advantageous
    • Deliverables include, but will not be limited to
    • Building strong broker and direct client relationships
    • Managing the complete VIP client life cycle: structuring quotes, sale, policy amendments, relationship management, following up on claims & loss ratio management
    • Underwriting commercial policies to determine if risk profile is acceptable and to structure cover options accordingly 
    • Maintain a balance between sales targets and loss ratio targets

    Head : Alternative Distribution

    About the role

    • We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to head up and grow our Alternative Distribution Channel. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of business development and relationship management within the short-term insurance industry.

    Deliverables Include, but will not be limited to

    • Identify growth opportunities across various short-term insurance products.
    • To develop new markets and generate high quality leads for all product and distribution verticals across MiWay.  
    • To ensure that the newly created products achieve agreed business case targets.
    • The recruitment and management of new sales and support staff when required.

    Qualifications and Experience
    Minimum Experience

    • A minimum of 5 years’ senior managerial experience in Business Development and/or Relationship management, within short-term insurance.
    • Business Case formulation
    • New business product or business unit deployment.
    • Managing a variety of short-term insurance products.
    • Experience in strategy formulation and general business management.

    Minimum Qualification Required

    • Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4  
    • Tertiary qualification required

    • Proven business acumen and experience
    • Must be a strategic thinker who can develop and implement innovative solutions.
    • Must be analytical and able to comprehend/react to the key statistical drivers/metrics of the business unit
