    Receiving Inspector (JHB)

    About the Job

    • Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for a Receiving Inspector (JHB) at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful applicant will report to the Manager: Warehouse.

    Responsibilities

    • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt;
    • Unload packages from incoming trucks;
    • Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock;
    • Checks shipping invoice to ensure all items are accounted for;
    • Opens boxes and inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged;
    • Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.);
    • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control;
    • Contact procurement or shipper if a mistake is identified;
    • Work closely with the management team and Quality Assurance to resolve any queries or uncertainties;
    • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements;
    • Packaging products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary;
    • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place;
    • Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries;
    • Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary;
    • Track and report on all received spares daily (Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods);
    • Work with internal stake holders to resolve any problems;
    • Daily stock check on all items reflecting “received” on SAM;
    • Updating stock on the SAM system;
    • Managing tooling in the receiving area;
    • Ensures that the receiving area is clean and organized;
    • Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location;
    • Ensuring all items are received correctly and not damaged during the shipping process.

    Requirements

    • Matric;
    • Dangerous goods handling and Aircraft spares packing (Optional);
    • 5 Years Warehousing or Receiving experience;
    • SAM AMO system (Optional);
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

    • Experience in operating forklifts;
    • Fundamental recording and basic math abilities;

    Warehouse Assistant

    About the Job

    • Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair has a vacancy for a Warehouse Assistant at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful applicant will report to the Manager: Warehouse.

    Responsibilities

    • Move inventory and materials across facilities
    • Process inventory for delivery;
    • Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location;
    • Package items and label correctly;
    • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors;
    • Stack and organize large bulk items;
    • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing;
    • Directing and conducting routine warehouse cleaning tasks;
    • Monitor and manage inventory control;
    • Performing warehouse inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits;
    • Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care;
    • Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse;
    • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations;
    • Perform daily cycle counts and work with Inventory clerk to resolve any discrepancies;
    • Ensure the dispatch area is audit ready at any given time;
    • Assist with any adhoc duties in the warehouse

    Requirements

    • Grade 12;
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
    • Daily feedback to Internal and External Customers;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
    • Good administrative skills;
    • Can do attitude with solution driven to meet deadlines;
    • Ability to provide daily feedback to internal and internal customers;
    • Ability to adhere to procedures and standards at all time;
    • Ability to work under minimum supervision;
    • Ensuring the dispatch area is audit ready at any given time;

    Line Warehouse Controller (DBN)

    About the Job

    • Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for a Line Warehouse Controller based at our King Shaka International Airport. The successful applicant will report to the Manager: Supply Chain.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for spares movements between Durban and other stations as well as ensuring that capturing of all data is done timeously on stock management system to ensure accurate info is available at all times;
    • Binning of parts received into respective areas;
    • Conduct weekly cycle counts;
    • Accurate record keeping and filing of all relevant documentation pertaining to spares movements;
    • Updating of the stock system to reflect spares movements;
    • Routing of parts to outstations, hangars and airports where it is needed;
    • Creating of documentation for shipping purposes as well as packaging as per Work Instructions;
    • Updating of spares requisition system as soon as parts are received or dispatched;
    • Housekeeping to be done daily;
    • Attend to all requests for spares sent through via email, phone calls or WhatsApp;
    • Carry out general warehouse duties as requested by supervisor;
    • Ensure access to warehouse is controlled at all times;
    • Monitoring and managing of BRN’s for all spares on the line;
    • Assist with loading and offloading of spares on the aircrafts;
    • Assist with all queries on spares in the station;
    • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12;
    • Must have a valid driver's license;
    • Forklift license will be advantageous;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office(Word, Excel and Outlook);
    • Willingness to work overtime when required;
