    Diesel Mechanic UG

    About the Job

    Job Description
    Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Attending to breakdowns and emergencies as required
    • Performing scheduled inspections on equipment
    • Executing planned maintenance on equipment
    • Conduct participate in risk assessments
    • Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
    • Allocate tasks to subordinates
    • Attend and conduct safety meeting
    • Interpret engineering drawings and do fault findings
    • Report possible defects and plan the action needed to rectify the risk or defect

    This role is in the Engineering department at a C2 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2
    • Certified Competent as Diesel Mechanic

    Experience:

    • 2 years experience on Trackless equipment e.g Sandvik, Fermel

    Additional Requirements:

    • English literate (speak, read and write)
    • Must be able to do standby and overtime
    • Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures
    • Valid driving license code 08
    • Basic Computer Skills

    Learnership Mining

    Job Description

    • Our eighteen-month Mining Learnership Programme is an enrichment programme for the community on Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) and will enable you to develop skills with classroom and on-the-job training in surface mining. This Program will enable you to maximise your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference. As you progress through your mining learnership programme, we will help you discover your real capability and develop your skills as a future Drilling or Blasting Assistant and/or various Trackless Mobile Equipment.

    Qualifications
    To qualify for the Learnership you must have the following:

    • Full Grade 12 / Technical N3 with Mathematics Literacy or Mathematics. Physical Science will be advantageous.
    • A valid South African Driver’s License.
    • Successfully pass medical-job-fit assessments (RFA)
    • Ability to obtain or be in possession of a valid Sishen VTS / DOVER)
    • The mining learnership will only commence after successfully obtaining VTS (Dover) / RFA and obtaining a Fitness Certificate.

    Processor Smelter G3 B2

    About the Job

    Job Description
    Acting as a support for our teams, some of your duties will include:

    • Manual operation of equipment, which includes operating of valves, manual sampling as well as stopping the operation if working conditions are unsafe
    • Perform inspections on equipment
    • Start and stop equipment where required
    • You will be required to work a 12 hour shift

    This is role is in the processing department at a B2 level and reports into the Process Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 – Mathematics and Physical Science with a minimum of 50% on each subject
