 Feasibility studies:

• Define the problem, identify possible solutions, analyse the technology, evaluate the options and make recommendations including return on investment calculations.

 Project Implementation:

•  Project and scope specification/clarification.
•  Compile Enquiries, conduct Site visits and adjudicate Bids.
•  Clarification meetings.
•  Place orders and compile contracts.
•  Project Implementation and Contract Management, i.e. Cost, Time and Quality control.
•  Legal Compliance
•  Commissioning and performance testing
• Documentation and close out

Requirements

• The Mechanical Projects Engineer is responsible to conceptualise and/or implement maintenance improvement, new equipment, equipment upgrade and equipment refurbishment projects. To implement and control change process for the maximum benefit of Columbus Stainless.

   Person Specification

• Minimum qualification of S4/T3 in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 years of relevant experience in the metals manufacturing industry (furnaces, hot and cold rolling and other heavy engineering industries) with at least two years involvement in implementing projects.
• The ideal candidate will hold a B Eng, B Tech/T4,  in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of
• experience in the metals manufacturing / consulting industry or conducting feasibilities/implementing capital projects.
• MDP with more than 2 years in management/Project management roll will be advantages
• Computer literate
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet work deadlines with attention to detail

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:  

• The incumbent will primarily be responsible to ensure that valid financial documents are processed and paid accurately and on time.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Validation of documentation;
• Receive and check invoices, debit and credit notes to ensure compliance to VAT regulations;
• Identify and resolve queries;
• Investigate and follow up on queries;
• Accurate processing of financial documentation;
• Accurate and timeous payout of Suppliers;
• Follow up GRV accrual account

Special working conditions:  

• Overtime may be required

Requirements
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:   

• Gr. 12 with Maths and Accounting;
• Certificate/Diploma in Finance/Accounting;

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

3 - 5 years' experience in a similar position;

Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft;

EXPERIENCE:

• Good understanding of payments - local and foreign;

APTITUTED:  

• Knowledge of ERP Systems;

OTHER:

• Good understanding of basic accounting principles, price calculations and procure to pay system;Must be able to interpret and understand financial documents.
