    Technical Officer - eMalahleni

    Job Description    

    • Operate in a safe and efficient manner at company and customer sites
    • Competent operation of technical blasting tools
    • Interpretation of blast design data for safe and efficient blasting
    • Communication of blast design data to supervisor/customer/ subcontractor
    • Responsible for logistics of supply of explosives products for blasting operations at allocated sites
    • Responsible for safe blasting process
    • Conducts post blast evaluation
    • Identifies and analysis opportunities for value adding services to improve customer operations
    • Blasting assessments on a weekly basis on the operators and assistants
    • Monthly reports on the business, supply, delivery and usage of product
    • Interfacing with the technical projects team, accountable for all technical projects on site

    General

    • The position requires a full understanding of all the modules that make up the blasting competency program
    • The position requires involvement in dealing with management at all levels in the organization
    • Problem solving as well as decision making both in on bench conditions and customer enquiries are critical at all times. The position involves gathering information from various sources to determine the viability of the business. The incumbent should use his initiative to extract information to provide management with information that could further assist them in management decisions.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Grade 12
    • Surface blasting certificate or ticket is essential.
    • Valid Code B Drivers Licence.
    • Valid First Aid certificate.
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Diploma in Explosives Technology would be an advantage
    • Be able to complete the AEL Explosives Engineers – must have completed Surface part of the course

    Global Project Process Engineer - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Develop process engineering design with support from other engineering disciplines or consultants: Project definition and scoping, Process Design Criteria, PFDs, Process descriptions, P&IDs, Datasheets, Control and Operating philosophies and commissioning plan
    • Undertake and/or Manage feasibility studies, design and engineering, execution, commissioning and handover of projects
    • Participate and/or facilitate Hazard and Operability studies
    • Accountable for ensuring robust and accurate process engineering deliverables
    • Develop and roll out standard process engineering documentation to AECI mining explosives and Mining Chemical Business Units
    • Manage and roll-out process related projects
    • Active representation, participation and cooperation in the annual capital budgeting process
    • Support the Global Strategic Projects Manager in updating the project governance procedure and its roll out to AECI mining explosives and Mining Chemical Business Units
    • Support project managers in the development of Project Definition

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • BScEng/BEng (with honours) in Chemical Engineering. A BTech degree in Chemical Engineering may be considered if candidate has experience in explosive design and engineering
    • Management certification/Qualification would be advantageous
    • Preference will be given to a candidate that has 10-20 years’ process engineering and process safety experience, ideally in the project management field
    • The ideal candidate has strong engagement skills, is self-motivated and driven with a focus on adding value through the on-time delivery of strategic projects
    • Deliver results through quality and safety awareness, planning and organizing, decision making and execution to readily deliver value
    • Firm understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Demonstrated Project Management track record, and ability to manage multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders

    Production Supervisor - Burgersdorp

    Job Description    

    • Responsible for ensuring that the daily production targets are achieved.
    • Check in advance scheduled production, the availability of raw materials and packaging material.
    • Ensure that works instructions and standard operating procedures are strictly adhered to. Any modifications must be reported to the production Manager.
    • Monitor production output and raw material usages.
    • Ensure that packing machines are used effectively to achieve daily targets.
    • Responsible for ensuring that good housekeeping standards are maintained in areas of responsibility.

    Stock Controller - Burgersdorp

    Job Description    

    • Plan stocktakes and cycle counts.
    • Maintain systems to record all stock movements.
    • Actively participate in improving the level of safety on the warehouse
    • Partake in annual stock take audits.
    • Reporting of inventory statistics to Management – stock on hand.
    • Assist with internal and external audits.
    • Responsible for reconciling stock discrepancies and for reporting stocktake results to Management.

    Demand And Supply Planning Manager - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Ensure a fully integrated demand and supply planning process within the business
    • Collect and prepare all demand data metrics from clusters for S&OP presentation
    • Aggregate unconstrained demand for all regions on a monthly basis
    • Collate and prepare historical sales trends analysis versus current forecasts and budgets
