    As social manager, your main tasks will be :

    • The implementation and update of the project’s Stakeholder engagement strategy in line with lender’s requirements and national regulations.
    • The planning and undertaking of stakeholder engagement activities related to the project with the support of the project’s CLO and consultant.
    • The management of the community and workers grievance mechanisms with the support of the CLO and relevant project staff.
    • The implementation, with the support of external consultants, of the Project Livelihood Restoration Plan.
    • Be the contact with the local authorities in coordination with the CLO
    • First be the link with all subcontractors in relation to all manpower used at site to guarantee that they are all complying with local social regulation and Voltalia’s social management plans. 
    • Verifying with local authorities that information gathered above is correct and company is complying.  
    • In coordination with HSES Manager verifying that all social measures required are implemented on site. 
    • Create a live data base where social performance indicators may be followed. 
    • Report to HSES Manager overall status (audit, all measures that are being used, non-conformities, etc); 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor degree  
    • 5 years of working experience in a relevant role preferable on construction projects (preferably in the energy sector); 
    • Good knowledge of tools and techniques or project schedules/ planning (able to work with planning software) 
    • Fluent in English

    Admin & Finance Leader M/F

    Experienced, detail-oriented finance leader, to join a growing/start-up organization. Verify financial records and transactions in collaboration with an external accounting company.  Have a keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger, and all reports. In charge of the production and analysis of the reporting sent to the group (IFRS norm).

    Financial Leader Responsibilities :

    1/ Accounting, bank & Tax

    • Prepare financial statements and analysis in collaboration with external accounting company.
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
    • Assist in Financial and tax audits and be responsible for Local Tax compliance.
    • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements and prepare financial reports for HQ based on IFRS norms (Quarterly basis)
    • Maintain account balances and bank statements.
    • Manage general ledger and assist month-end/year-end close processes.
    • Record financial information for analysis.
    • Be responsible for the monthly closing process in accordance with group calendar, managing the local calendar and assure the local compliance with group deadlines by all BL (Receptions, ICP Reconciliation, Accruals Deferrals and Provisions, Flash revenues, IFRS calculation, Pipeline Reconciliation);
    • Be responsible for the IFRS harmonization of Local Package and Group Package for Quarterly submission;
    • Assist in general audits and tax audits;

    2/ Financial analysis, Controlling, Budget & Reporting

    • Coordinate and be the referent of the financial information of the different Business Lines.
    • Preparing documents and interpret financial information for managers, executives, and international        head quarters finance dept.
    • Assist on budget definition in line with the Business Plan targets defined by the Country Manager and the different Business Lines under the GFM coordination
    • Responsible for the cash forecasts definition and monitorization, along with BL local managers, and approval from Country Manager and GFM
    • Local Responsible for controlling activities, in particular for costs vs budget analysis and reporting, on monthly basis to and in coordination with the GFM and Country Manager
    • Manage Analytical accounting and reporting for projects and for contracts;
    • Produce data for Cost analysis and support to Business Line Managers;
    • Assure the production and analysis of the reporting sent to the group (IFRS norm);
    • Manage, from an accounting point of view, the Activation costs and Assets creation under IFRS rules, based on internal policies;

    3/ Others

    • Maintain company accounting procedures and processes.
    • Support HR with employee’s administrative issues and HR report
    • Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
    • Accompany the growth of the company.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
    • Previous experience as an accountant/auditor considered as a plus
    • Excellent computer skills; MS-Office Suite.
    • Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus.
    • Proficiency with consolidation software would be highly appreciated.
    • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Strong knowledge of South African fiscal law
    • Proficiency with IFRS norms.
    • Able to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good English language written and read.

    Our Human Resources Team is looking for an HRBP in South Africa, he/she will be responsible to support the country strategy. He/she will be the principal interlocutors of managers and employees. And, he/she will be responsible assist the growth of the country by an active support in the change management.

    Our Development team in South Africa, based in Cape Town, is looking for a Project Analyst, which will have the following responsibilities:

    Work in direct cooperation with the Development team for renewable energy projects in the country, according to the defined strategy;
    Support the Project Director in the follow-up of both internal and external stakeholders for the late-stage development and financing of a renewable energy project;
    Support for presentations, reports and analysis that may need to be presented to the Executive Committee, Investment Committee or to the Client;
    Assist the project during the project finance phase, keeping the data room updated and supporting the compilation of all documentation necessary;
    Organize and manage Sharepoint folders, alerting the project team when critical updates or changes have been made;
    Keep project files up to date and track progress of development activities and permits;
    Assist with the project tracking sheets and project schedule updates, as may be needed;
    Assist to secure any remaining project permits, licenses and approvals;
    Procure and support the selection of service providers, consultants and advisors according to Voltalia’s internal standards;

    • Master’s degree in engineering, economics, business or related major;
    • Post-graduation or specialization in Project Management is a plus;
    • At least 3 years’ experience in project management or a related role in renewable energy or infrastructure field would be advantageous;
    • Experience in dealing with external stakeholders in a professional environment;
    • Experience in dealing with international players is a valuable plus;
    • Advanced user of MS Project and other Project Management tools;
    • Experience in interacting with external stakeholders;
    • Availability to travel throughout South Africa and internationally from time to time;
    • Fluent in English and command of other local languages are a plus.
