REQUIREMENTS

Senior Lecturer

• PHD/Doctoral degree or equivalent qualification in Nursing Science with at least five (5) years teaching experience at tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in student supervision in an academic health institution and teaching Midwifery Nursing and General Nursing Science.
• A minimum of five (5) publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals.
• Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) is a must.

Lecturer

• Master`s degree in Nursing Science with at least three (3) years teaching experience at tertiary institution, or five (5) years professional experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in student supervision in an academic health institution and teaching Midwifery Nursing and General Nursing Science.
• Publications in peer reviewed and or non-peer reviewed journals will be a strong recommendation. Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) is a must.

Junior Lecturer

• Honours degree in Nursing Education.
• Previous teaching experience in an Institution of Higher Learning.
• Experience in facilitating General Nursing Science or Midwifery and an Advanced Midwifery qualification will be an added advantage.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator is compulsory.

DUTIES

The successful candidate will accept responsibility for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in Nursing Science and will be expected to actively participate in research projects.

If appointed at the level of Senior Lecturer, the incumbent will participate in departmental management and will provide academic guidance to postgraduate students.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Honours degree in Law or four years’ professional qualification in Law (LLB degree, BJuris/BPrcc or equivalent qualification) and five (5) years legal experience in a legal practice and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Higher Education.

• To provide a comprehensive legal consultation and advice service on all legal aspects affecting Univen.
• Minimise all aspects of risk emanating from legal processes including ligation for or against the University.

DUTIES

Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Director, working collaboratively with Internal Audit and Risk Management staff to ensure integrated service provision, ensuring that queries are directed to the appropriate section.

REQUIREMENTS

Master of Public Health degree with specialisation in Advanced Biostatistics and Epidemiology. At least 3 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or 5 years’ professional experience in the relevant field or in student supervision in an academic health institution.

DUTIES

The successful candidate will accept responsibility for teaching postgraduate students in Public Health and will be expected to actively participate in research projects and community engagement. The appointed candidate will be required to supervise postgraduate students in Public Health.

Requirements

A minimum of a three-year Degree/Diploma with at least 3 years' relevant working experience. Communication skills, computer skills as well as the ability to work within a team context and independently. Knowledge of standard office procedures and good public relations.

Duties:

1. To provide administrative support to the Technology Transfer Office function at the University of Venda
2. Facilitate logistics of the TTO office operations (e.g. travel, meetings, workshops and training),
3. Stakeholder database management (i.e. updating , recording and filing TT related information),
4. Record keeping,
5. Provide logistical support for IP&TT related awareness activities
6. The qualified candidate will work under the supervision of the Technology Transfer Coordinator receiving and disseminating relevant information related to intellectual property, technology transfer and any other duties assigned by the line manager.
