    Incident Response Consultant

    JOB PURPOSE 

    • Responsible for ensuring that customer’s are assisted 24/7 in the event of a vehicle accident where the vehicle is non-drivable. Obtain all relevant information, firsthand, from the customer, tow truck driver or third party involved in the accident to aid in expediting the validation process for the customer. Provide peace of mind for the customer regarding their claim.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    External Communications 

    • Use the external communications system to access and supply specific information.
    • Create positive experiences for clients by interacting courteously with them.
    • Responsible for contacting the customer using the relevant communication system, immediately once they have received information that an accident has occurred.
    • Confirm that it is convenient to assist the customer and obtain all relevant information from the customer while they are still at the scene of the accident.
    • Ensure that the tow truck is an affiliated tow with authorisation to tow the vehicle- Where possible, obtain a statement from the tow truck driver regarding their observations upon their arrival at the accident scene.

    Customer Service 

    • Provide a quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to support retention. Responsibilities may include processing cases, dealing with complex queries and investigating and resolving customer problems.
    • Provide assistance and reassure the customer regarding the process
    • Ensure that the customer is stable and if not arrange the necessary medical attention for the customer.

    Administration 

    • Conduct data entry into company systems, and review and verify the information to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
    • Ask questions, collect data from a variety of sources, analyse information and investigate claim.
    • Capture all relevant information on the required system.
    • Capture any irregularities regarding the information provided.
    • Request the customer to take photos of their vehicle and of the Third Party vehicle if there is one involved.
    • Make decisions according to established criteria to determine the state of the vehicle and the next steps.
    • Once all information noted and captured, confirm with the customer whether they have arranged for transportation from the accident scene, in the event that they are not injured and transported by the ambulance.

    Data Management 

    • Use data management systems to access specific information as and when required.

    Document Management 

    Create, organise and maintain files containing the correspondence relating to accident scenes and matters.

    General Education 

    • Matric / Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited (Essential).

    General Experience 

    • 2-3 years Customer Service experience (Essential); 2 years Vehicle Claims experience (Advantageous); Proficient in the Claims discipline.

    Junior Accountant

    Job Purpose

    Provide support to the Financial Accountants and record and review financial transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy and timely submission of information used to support the business in their financial decision making and ensure statutory compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Financial Accounting

    • Support others by carrying out financial monitoring tasks. Check cash book batches and reconciliations to ensure that transactions are allocated accurately and submit timeously to the accountants on a weekly basis. Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement journals, reconciliations and schedules and ensure that all supporting documentation is attached in the month end file for review by the Financial Accountant. Prepare VAT reconciliations for review by the Financial Accountant on a monthly basis.

    Management accounting and financial management

    • Deliver standard operational or administrative processes, interpret instructions and make choices (from defined options) to get the job done. Check accounts payable and receivable batches on a daily basis to ensure that transactions are allocated accurately in terms of amounts, VAT, description and account. Control and review the age analysis of the accounts payable on a monthly basis to ensure that it is within the agreed terms and conditions of the suppliers agreements.

    Operational Compliance

    • Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work. adhere to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.

    Data Collection & Analysis

    • Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.

    Customer Management

    • Assist with general customer queries and difficult customers. Liaise with auditors, external business partners and internal customers on a daily basis to provide accurate information and respond and resolve enquiries to a satisfactory outcome.

    Data Management

    • Record financial transactions on a daily basis into the applicable business systems to ensure the accuracy and completeness thereof.
    • Improvement / Innovation
    • Find new and innovative ways to provide a more efficient, responsive and speedy process to enhance the overall effectiveness of financial reporting and customer service.

    General Education

    • Matric/Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential);
    • BCom degree in Accounting or similar - SAICA accredited university (Essential)

    General Experience

    • 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Essential);

    Experience within the financial services industry (Advantageous)

    Junior Data Scientist

    Job Purpose

    • Assist in collecting, analyzing, reporting, and interpreting data for use in the development of business strategies, extract quantifiable insights from past trends and current conditions to increase TIH's profitability and improves relationship's with clients and stakeholders. Assist in building and maintaining predictive and machine learning models with guidance from managers.

    Responsibilities

    Advanced and Predictive Analytics

    • Run advanced and predictive analyses and perform model assessments, validation, and enhancement activities, using predictive analytics' software tools and functionalities. Receive manager sign-off for the machine learning analytics.

    Data Exploration

    Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools to enable data analysis.

    Information and Business Advice

    • Resolve queries from internal customers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
    • Insights and Reporting
    • Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports. For ongoing reporting to business, assist in the automation of the various data and analytic reports.

    Business Requirements Identification

    • Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
    • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.

    Project Management

    • Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals. Implement data analytic projects from start to finish and assist in managing stakeholders throughout the project. Communicate the project status back to managers or within the team.
    • Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.

    Data Management

    • Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice. Ensure that data is accurate and is aligned to policies and procedures set out by TIH.

    • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.     General Education

    General Experience

    • 1 to 3 years working experience within an analytical, data science or computer science environment (Essential);
    • Data analytics and optimization using the latest statistical tools and packages (Essential);
