    Head, Fraud Rules Management

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Responsible for managing the building of new rules based on input from input from data and modelling teams as well as business stakeholders (incl. testing of new fraud rules, impact assessment with regards to customer friction and fraud frustration as well as continuous monitoring of rules performance). Management of rules implementation into PBB fraud detection management systems and ensuring rules are coded correctly and working as intended (incl. liaising with relevant stakeholders (e.g. IT, Fraud Risk Strategy Heads) if rules are not triggering any alerts). Responsible for maintaining an inventory of all PBB fraud rules and overseeing inventory to ensure fraud rules are effective (within as well as across PBB portfolios). Recommend changes to current fraud rules within risk appetite as well as fraud rules to mitigate trending fraud modus to Fraud Risk Strategy Heads and Country & PBB SA Business Stakeholders

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Qualifications

    • Type of Qualification: Post Graduate Degree
    • Field of Study: Information Technology
    • Other Minimum Qualifications, Certifications or Professional Memberships: Coding skills for relevant monitoring systems to implement rules

    Experience Required

    • Risk Management
    • 5-7 years proven experience in rule writing and monitoring or comparable (ideally in the area of fraud risk management)
    • Personal and Business Banking
    • 2 years experience - Some business knowledge of retail banking products such as Transactional, Card, Home loans, VAF and Insurance.

    Quantitative Analyst, Scorecard Development

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To develop high quality credit risk scorecards solving for business problems across the credit life cycle) for an allocated portfolio within agreed timelines, following agreed processes and procedures. To monitor the usage of the scorecards to determine relevance and requirement for remedial action where applicable.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Other Minimum Qualifications, Certifications or Professional Memberships: Post-graduate Degree in a Quantitative Field / Statistics / Engineering

    Experience Required

    • 1-2 Years previous experience in scorecard and / or credit risk rating model development, preferably including application scoring and reject inference; credit analytics; data manipulation; data mining, preferably in a SAS environment, SQL and Python experience is also advantageous; Logistic Regression methodology within a banking / financial environment, Experience in other predictive modelling / machine learning techniques is also advantageous. Knowledge of the bank’s products and financial solutions.

    Senior Analyst: PBB Capital and Impairment Model Development

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To ensure the optimal development, enhancement, deployment, maintenance and monitoring of impairment models within PBB Capital and Impairment Model Development.
    • Ensure models developed are of high quality and the required governance of model changes, and accounting and Reserve Bank regulations are adhered to.
    • Have good understanding of modelling of Impairments under IFRS9 and Modelling of Capital under Basel.
    • Successful candidates would be required to maintain and enhance existing models, as well as develop models for new products in the Business and Commercial Banking environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Honours Degree in Mathematical Sciences/Statistic/Actual Science

    Experience required:

    • 3-4 Years' experience with data mining and retail credit risk modelling.
    • Technical model development and implementation experience in the banking sector.
    • Experience in building PD, LGD and EAD models end-to-end, through to implementation. Understanding of the use and impact of impairment models in retail banking or a retail lending environment.
    • Good communication skills, in particular, communication of technical concepts to a non-technical audience
    • Good understanding of modelling of Impairments under IFRS9 and Modelling of Capital under Basel.
    • Successful incumbent would be required to maintain and enhance existing models, as well as develop models for new products in the BCC environment.
    • A good understanding of SAS and data would be required. Knowledge of model building in Python would be an advantage.
