    Operator

    Purpose of the Job

    • To perform all operational activities utilizing plant equipment and resources pertaining to the blending or filling process at LOBP according to company policy procedures and applicable standard operating procedures.

    What you’ll have done before:
    Baseline:

    • NQF Level 4 (Grade 12/N3 Engineering Certificate)
    • 1-year Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

    Advantageous:

    • Grade 12 (Mathematics & Science)
    • Forklift License
    • 2 Years’ experience blending and filling operations
    • Computer Literacy
    • Ability to perform basic equipment care

    What you’ll be doing

    • Ensure daily production operational blending and filling activities are performed effectively in accordance with the daily Production Plans and resources allocated by Team Leader
    • Carry out general housekeeping, first line maintenance and machine adjustment tasks;
    • Manual labelling, palletizing and driving of forklifts;
    • Ensure that gauging and dipping of tanks are at required intervals;
    • Accurately complete records and required documentation related to area of work;
    • Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with all stakeholders

    Mining Business Developer

    Purpose of the Job

    • To manage the interface between the organization and industry-specific customers, in addition provide support in order to optimize opportunities sales and maximize growth potential in line with Commercial's plans

    Who you are:

    • You are highly motivated to develop and maximize new sales opportunities in the Mining sector (specifically lubricants sales).
    • You have built meaningful business relationships with large mines, mining houses, independent mines and mining contractors.
    •  You are an expert at identifying business opportunities in this sector and onboarding new customers.
    • You are passionate about people, relationship building and results.
    • You operate well under pressure, are self-motivated and can work independently.
    • You have a good understand of what drives customer decision making processes.
    • You have excellent interpersonal skills and can deal with company directors/executives, procurements officers, contract managers, shop floor personnel, parastatals and controlling bodies in the mining sector.
    • You have a reputation for providing excellent service, adding value to clients and growing your sales portfolio.

    What you’ll have done before:
    Baseline:

    •  NQF level 6 (in Science, Engineering, Business or related).
    • Minimum 5 years sales and technical related experience in lubricants.
    •   In depth knowledge and experience of Mining Industry in South Africa.
    •  Experience working with Tier 1 clients and executive management.

    Advantageous:

    • 10+ years’ experience in sales and marketing lubricants.
    • Ability to work individually and successfully in an ever-changing environment and navigate ambiguity.
    • Demonstrated ability to self-manage your portfolio and understand the demands of the business environment.
    • Advanced selling technique knowledge, technical skill or desire to acquire same.
    • Exciting Challenges you might face in the role:
    • Applies knowledge of lubricant products in the marketplace to advance the organisation’s business goals.
    •  Driving the Engen brand and products to customers in the Mining sector.
    • Creates opportunities for growth.
    • Effectively communicate to clients, colleagues and stakeholders.

    • Proactively increase sales of lubricants through new business development.
    •  Identifying opportunities in the market and building a new customer base.
    •  Measuring results against volume plan, budget plan and profitability.
    •  Creating environment for customers to recommend your service and products.
    • Maximizing sales and profitability through achieving and exceeding business plan.
    • You will create a strong brand image.
    •  Identify new opportunities in the market for products and services.
    • You will leverage on regional and national opportunities to grow the business.
