    Finance Operations Controller

    Finance Operations Controller

    We are seeking an experienced Finance Ops Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in finance and possess a strong background in month-end closings. The Finance Ops Controller will be responsible for overseeing various financial processes, including gift card investigation, manual invoices, customer refunds, banking issues, iTunes anomalies, petty cash management, spare parts investigation, and store-related projects. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to review and improve existing processes.     ABOUT THE ROLE - 

    • Conduct daily reconciliation of gift cards between the ledger and the system, promptly investigate any discrepancies, raise queries with stores, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
    • Keep the manual invoice sheet up to date, monitor unprocessed manual invoices, and follow up with stores to resolve outstanding items. Investigate reasons for raising manual invoices and manage associated risks.
    • Coordinate the process of issuing manual invoice books, including raising and accepting purchase orders from the supplier, stamping each page of the books, and distributing them to stores.
    • Check and verify customer refund packs prepared by stores, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines. Submit refund packs for release to senior management.
    • Investigate banking issues related to refunds that have not reflected in customers' accounts. Collaborate with FNB to resolve discrepancies and confirm and resolve double charges.
    • Investigate anomalies with iTunes and Microsoft cards, such as missing invoices for billed vouchers, and work with stores to resolve the issues. Maintain a log of unresolved issues and hold stores accountable for process compliance when necessary.
    • Approve petty cash expenses, prepare accounting journals, and process ad hoc payments as required.
    • Investigate unprocessed and uninvoiced repairs, follow up with stores to ensure compliance, and resolve outstanding issues.
    • Act as the operational lead for store-related projects, such as implementing one bank account, paperless cash up, and auto processing of trade-in refunds.
    • Address general store queries related to invoicing, point-of-sale (POS) issues, and other finance-related matters.

    ABOUT YOU - 

    • Bachelor's degree

    General Manager - Retail

    ABOUT THE ROLE- 

    As the General Manager of Retail Concession at Core Group, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Retail concession stores in South Africa. Your primary focus will be on increasing sales, particularly for Apple products, by understanding sales targets, analysing market trends, and implementing strategies to maximize forward share. You will play a vital role in increasing volumes in stores by identifying fast-selling and slow-moving products and adjusting stock allocations accordingly. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving ad hoc promotions and deals, training store sales consultants, and ensuring their registration and proficiency on the Mobile Commerce System (MCS). Your expertise in effective people management, operational efficiency, and building strong relationships with customers, staff, and client management will be crucial for success in this role.     Casual Sales Consultant- IStore Clearwater

    iStore is the home of everything Apple, and Africa’s largest Apple Premium Reseller. With a retail footprint of more than 30 physical and online stores across Africa that provide expert advice, Apple Authorised Repairs, Business, Education, training and technical support for anything and everything Apple. 

    We are looking for tech savvy, retail inclined individuals with great communication skills to join our team. 

    Our  iStore Sales Consultant is responsible to maximise the sales opportunity in the iStore. 

    You will be ensuring that all customers receive hands-on experience with the latest Apple technology & services. You will proactively approach and engage with customers to understand their needs, present complete solutions and create memorable experiences. 

    We will give you all the knowledge and tools around all our iStore products for you to be successful in the role.  

    This role is ideal for someone that would need a little flexibility and not a full time role at current. You will be in a flexible position where you will only be required to work 108 hours per month.

    IStore Cellular Trainer - CT

    ABOUT THE ROLE: 
    To develop staff knowledge and competence on cellular networks . This role will also be responsible for providing Cellular Induction Training for all new staff that join the company, along with the logistics to arrange all of it.

    Responsibilities: 

    Training and Development

    • Planning Cellular Training Calendar for all new starters, this includes creating Zoom Sessions for HR.
    • Delivering sessions that are related to Cellular Products, Services and more.
    • Planning sessions for in store Cellular champions and also ensuring that they have the relevant information needed for all sessions and that all new Cellular champions are ready to deliver sessions of high standard. 

    Learning Paths

    • Ensure that all next steps are clearly outlined and easily achievable based on the Company’s and Cellular partners requirements.
    • Ensure all new starters and their managers are in constant communication with their next steps.
    • Monthly reporting on progress of next steps to ensure that everyone is on track with their progress and know what needs to be done in order to move ahead to the next “Level” of their iStore Cellular journey.
    • A learning path per network needs to be developed and reported on per users attendance and progress. 

    Cellular Partner Relationships 

    • Ensuring that all content is relevant and updated at all times and that iStore's perspective are in line with the Company's business areas.
    • All staff and managers are aware when Cellular Partner Perspectives are taking place in order to drive attendance.
    • Ensure that the work instruction content for Cellular partners is up to date with correct steps and shared on LMS for all stores to access.
    • Build relationships with relevant Cellular partners training departments to ensure content is always accurate and training is delivered in a timely manner. 

    Trainer Development

    • Ensuring that all in store Cellular Champions are up skilled and ready to train and assist with all Cellular queries in store and that they are aware of focus areas and what to drive within their stores

    Training Administration 

    • Responsible for ensuring all training devices are kept safe and stored in an environment where they cannot be misplaced or stolen.
    • Ensuring that all training devices are updated with the latest software and ready for new starters to use.
    • Driving induction attendance and giving feedback on overall experience.
    • Ensuring that simulation reports are done and shared with relevant parties upon completion of induction

    iStore Cellular Community 

    • Ensuring the planning and arrangements are being met every quarter, relevant parties should be aware of date of delivery and required content delivery.
    • Being well prepared for delivery of the content and ensuring that content is relevant and meets the required output.

    Coaching and Mystery Shopping 

    • Ensuring store visits are done when time is permitted to do so
    • Discussing Mystery Shopping results with respective stores relating to Cellular options (identify training gaps). 
    • Ensuring a coaching session is completed with a staff member when visiting the store

    Projects: 

    • Establishing new ways of streamlining current processes 


    Educational Requirements: 

    • Matric 

    Experience Required: 

    • Cellular experience on Vodacom, MTN and Telkom
    • Understanding of the Cellular Partners and process thereof
    • Planning and coordinating training events
    • Learning Management System understanding
    • Content creation
    • Strong Administrative skills 

    Key Competencies Required:

    • Highly motivated individual that is ready to help where they can
