• Develops merchandise strategy for the group, ensuring the best value for business and a uniform image across all stores
• Ensure that the company merchandise is displayed effectively
• Creating effective merchandise strategies to get a return on trading space
• Create and update merchandising tools, merchandise guide, merchandise key controls, and Store Manager's merchandise checklist
• Ensures that all stores are optimizing floor trading space to increase the trading densities
• Clear understanding of all stores and products to maximize the potential of certain product lines

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the Smelter Business Unit
• Develop and implement short- and long-term planning to enable the production
• To ensure that the furnaces, pelletiser and chrome recovery plant are available and reliable to produce products in line with the corporate objectives of the company with regard to volume, quality and unit costs
• Facilitate continuous improvement and operational excellence in order to improve availability, utilisation, safety performance, unit costs and to enable performance management and development of the smelter teams

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 10 – 12 years’ experience in a smelter mining environment
• Minimum 5 years as Plant Manger / 3.1a appointment

• To prevent through legal compliance checks, audits and monitoring, the reduction of accidents, dangerous occurrences and non conformance in respect of safety, health, environmental, risk and quality standards
• To assist the Chief Safety and Risk Officer with the updating, implementing and maintaining of SHERQ systems and procedures to ensure legal compliance in all areas of the operation
