    Supply Chain Administrator (FTC) - Epping

    Description

    Fine Chemicals requires the services of a highly competent and experienced Supply Chain Administrator for the Supply Chain Department.  To qualify for these positions the most suitable candidates must fulfill the following requirements.

    Requirements

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of grade 12/Matric 
    • A formal tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Warehousing/Inventory Management, as per the NQF framework.
    • Must be computer literate, MS Windows, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Must possess excellent administrative skills and the ability to plan and work logically and systematically.
    • Minimum 2 year’s experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or Chemical Industries
    • Experience with inventory management required.
    • SAP experience is advantageous.
    • Relevant experience in BPR's and/or Plant operations is preferred.
    • An understanding of SAP and basic inventory management is required. 

    BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary):

    • Capture transactions on the ERP system from hard-copy documents.
    • Process material-specific issues to jobs and job receipts transactions.
    • Capture stock counts.
    • Assist with stock variance investigations and IQV.
    • Assist with the processing of inventory transactions related to production bookings and inventory planning.
    • Liaising with planning regarding job start dates.
    • Release jobs requested by production.
    • Complete all records and reports timeously and accurately as described in the relevant SOP's, protocols, and associated documentation.
    • Comply with GMP requirements as outlined by Company SOP's and written instructions in all tasks and activities.
    • Ensure that products are stored according to the required SOP's and documentation.
    • Ensure all sections within the department maintain compliance with company GMP standards.

    General Assistant

    Overview

    • Prepare, clean and inspect work areas and equipment.
    • Handle and stage raw materials
    • Sample work area(s) and equipment for contamination
    • Sanitise drains and pipes to avoid contamination.
    • Related administrative tasks.

     Operational Support

    • Execute production activities within established policies, practices and guidelines, as well as established quality and safety standards.
    • Optimise own work processes.
    • Identify gaps in current policies and procedures.
    • Facilitate implementation of processes in own area of work

    Inspections & Verifications

    • Perform visual inspections of production area(s) and equipment.
    • Perform pre-production checks such as environmental checks, scale checks, and equipment pre-checks as per BMR, SOP and product specifications.
    • Verify scale and measuring equipment performance.

    Material Handling

    • Dispense, transfer, weigh and collect raw materials for processing.
    • Ensure raw materials are staged for processing, in line with requirements.

    Production Preparation

    • Set up the room and IBCs for production activities.
    • Prepare solutions for production activities as per SOP.

    Routine Support Tasks

    • Clean work area(s) and equipment before and after processing of materials as per SOP and cleaning checklist
    • Perform routine equipment checks and transfer of equipment.
    • Collect samples of production area and equipment for testing
    • Control contamination in area by flushing drains and pipes.
    • Assist with sorting of defected products and discard/ minimise waste.
    • Provide information to assist with campaign preparation.
    • Identify and report on operational problems out of specification.

    Reporting & Record Keeping

    • Complete batch record labels
    • Complete Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) sheets
    • Perform half-hourly inspections of production area(s)
    • Attend shift meetings.
    • Provide information for completion of reports.
    • Complete and consolidate standard documents.
    • Maintain and update records and systems as required. ·

    Supply Chain Controller - Epping

    BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary)      

    • Work with all key role players to ensure effective supply to PO and a Monthly Sales performance of OTIF > 95%.
    • Update sales forecasts.
    • Carry out master data updates.
    • Maintain invoicing and associated documentation process on SAP for all local and export shipments.
    • Ensure timeous invoicing and delivery of finished products and samples to customers.
    • Verifying all associated documents comply with IATA, Customs, and Legal regulations for narcotics and hazardous goods critical for Customs clearance.
    • Liaise with the various internal role players in finalising the despatch of material.
    • Co-ordinate despatch of material with approved freight forwarders for local and export shipments.
    • Tracking export and local shipments and updating customers on the status thereof.
    • Ensuring customer invoices and associated documents are processed and sent to customers to facilitate payment within agreed payment terms.
    • Uplifting and tracking orders being returned /imported.
    • Various ad-hoc duties assigned within the Supply Chain Department.
    • Complete all records and reports timeously and accurately as described in the relevant SOP's, protocols, and associated documentation.
    • Comply with GMP requirements as outlined by Company SOP's and written instructions in all tasks and activities.
