    Seminary and Institute Coordinator

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work in partnership with the area/region director, stake presidencies, high council, stake supervisors, ward leaders, and called teachers to: set goals, make plans, and implement them to increase the number of youth and young adults participating in seminary and institute. improve the learning experience and assess student experience for all youth and young adults (including students with disabilities) enrolled in your programs.
    • Build the capability of stake-called teachers to accomplish what is outlined in Teaching in the Savior’s Way. This may include monthly discussions, micro-training, in-service, digital and in-person observation, feedback, resources, and support.
    • Prepare the annual program operating budget, oversee financial performance, and safeguard church assets.
    • Adapt S&I curriculum and provide a pacing guide for local needs.
    • Teach S&I classes in the Savior’s way as the assignment requires.
    • Regularly review and update a professional development plan, work towards accomplishing those goals, and render an account to the area/region director.
    • Establish and maintain a Christlike culture of unity, improvement, and accountability.
    • Supervise the work of other employees, which may include a mixed workforce of full-time and part-time employees as well as volunteers.
    • Partner with HR (Human Resources) to provide suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of employees under coordinator supervision.
    • Participate in regular training opportunities at the general/area/region level.
    • Manage program operations, information, reports, and resources.
    • This position may require travel.
    • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be worthy of and hold a current/valid Temple Recommend and exemplify the Church teachings regarding marriage and family life. Have a strong personal testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and a commitment to the spiritual growth of the Youth and Young Single Adult’s. 
    • Recognized Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in education), with 5 years of class room teaching experience, coupled with management experience within the educational environment.
    • Requires a mid-level of understanding and skills related to the principles and practices of teaching, learning, and training.
    • The ability to relate to, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including Priesthood Leaders, parents and students. 
    • Requires mid-level interpersonal communication skills—including verbal communication, active listening, body language, openness, negotiation, decision making, and conflict resolution and mediation.
    • Possess a general understanding of how to support students with disabilities, which may include physical, learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or mental health challenges.
    • Ability to plan and manage time, information, reports, resources, meetings, agendas, and action items.
    • Possess mid-level skills in examining data to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
    • Be proficient in managing performance and encouraging growth and improvement of others.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to manage operations, information, reports, resources, and programs.
    • Be able to manage, prioritize, and balance your time appropriately.
    • Must have current/valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.

    Technical Support Representative 3( TSR3)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local or remote access. 
    • Assist employees using network remote access and provide remote support.
    • Train peers, Technical Support Representatives and end users as assigned.
    • Respond to incident and service request escalations to successfully maintain production schedules and service levels.
    • Implement solutions; effectively use TSR support end-user management tools.
    • Perform assigned software and device maintenance and upgrades, documenting any changes made.
    • Execute assignments by following established procedures and applying appropriate levels of drive and creativity.
    • Follow procedures and guidelines at all times.
    • Assist others in analyzing and evaluating system malfunctions and take appropriate action as directed.
    • Decommission assets as outlined by policy; coordinate and execute the surplus of hardware assets.
    • Implement changes and participate in project rollouts and events.
    • Perform audit tasks as directed by management.
    • Comply with applicable industry regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in technical ticket reviews.
    • Respond to duty phone calls (24/7); travel will be required. 
    • Participate in project management and event support.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be an endowed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a current Temple Recommend.
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 7) or in a related field that is equivalent.
    • Work experience of 4 years or more in the Information Technology related field, user support experience with PCs, hardware, software, network, end-user desktop applications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstration of Skills and Abilities required through a practical assessment test.
    • Significant knowledge of a variety of operating systems, hardware platforms, technical disciplines, virtualization, end-user applications, wired and wireless network connectivity and/or video conferencing platforms. 
    • Advanced asset management practices and understanding of IT business functions.
    • Experience in network technologies pertaining to system connectivity and troubleshooting.
    • Effective interpersonal, collaborative, communication and customer service skills 
    • Proven ability to be proactive, detail-oriented, dependable and appropriately prioritize tasks.
    • Proven ability to work independently while contributing to the strategic needs of the team.
    • Understand business problems and articulate potential technical solutions.
    • Ability to lift 25kg, reach cross and work under desks
    • A valid driver’s license is required.

    Facilities Support Services Manager

    Purpose

    • The job is to support Facilities Management groups to provide and maintain facilities which give church members places where they can worship, teach, learn, pray together make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. Each church facility that is built and or maintained should 1) Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship, and 2) Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community. This position:
    • Assist the Facilities manager to ensure compliance with contracted terms
    • Provide vendor administrative support to facilities management work groups.
    • Provide contracted services support to FM groups.
    • Manages Facilities Support Service specialists
    • May support multiple locations remotely and require international travel

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Track volume commitments for each vendor and manage total investment over time as a measure to minimize risk to the organisation. 
    • Monitor and manage all contracted services and leases through recurring function. 
    • In collaboration with the vendor committee, identify, pre-qualify and set-up an approved vendor pool.
    • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with large (national) vendors to benefit from economies of scale.
    • Ensure each vendor remains within the framework of the organization’s principles, standards, and procedures using scorecards, dashboard rankings and KPIs.
    • Prepare reports on each vendors compliance with the framework of the organization principles and procedures.
    • Produce monthly reports for the area managers on volume and total investments for vendor.
    • Understand country specific regulations to ensure vendors are compliant with the relevant requirements.
    • Collaborate with other departments and MFD divisions to ensure efficiency of the Facilities Support Service office
    • Support Facilities Support Service specialists in their day-to-day functions
    • Manage the performance of Facilities Support Service Specialists

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Management, Data Analysis, or any related field of study
    • Excellent data analysis skills
    • 3 or more years in data analysis, financial, producing reports
    • Proven front-line management skills in a multi-discipline work environment and ability to manage 
    • Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral communications with internal and external stakeholders 
    • Ability to acquire or the understanding of operations and maintenance processes and procedures.
    • Skilled in the use of standard desktop software including Word, PowerBI, Excel, and PowerPoint 
    • Must have a valid drivers license

    Facilities Management Mechanic

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    AS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Services, repairs, or replaces HVAC and components; plumbing and sprinkler systems; electrical systems; sound and electronic systems.
    • Performs custodial duties to keep the offices and grounds clean and orderly.
    • Services, repairs, or replaces locks, hinges, tile work, wall coverings, small paint jobs, motors, engines, and ground care equipment.
    • Responsible for safety during work, including the reporting of hazards, both inside and outside the buildings.
    • Attends meetings when assigned by Manager and attends training sessions to upgrade technical skills. 
    • Establishes and follows preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, etc. to ensure warranty compliance and to extend life of equipment.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

    • Must be in possession of a Temple Recommend and/or be worthy to have one.
    • Completed trade school or an apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical and / or plumbing Trade.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience required in one of the trades mentioned above.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general handyman/maintenance work.
    • Must be honest and reliable and be able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to communicate at a professional level both written and verbally to priesthood leaders, contractors and vendors.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Must be physically able to climb ladders, stairs, in order to perform maintenance functions.
    • Must be physically able to operate equipment and tools to make repairs, etc., and use industrial cleaning chemicals and products
