    Intern: Strategy and Research

    DUTIES

    • Assist in collecting and analyzing data for various research projects
    • Conduct literature reviews and summarize key information
    • Assist in compiling and present research findings in reports and presentations
    • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to gather information, share insights, and contribute to strategic projects
    • Support the verification process of performance information
    • Collaborate with different departments to gather necessary data
    • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation related to strategic projects and initiatives
    • Organizing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and other documentation related to strategic plans and projects
    • Provide administrative assistance in Qualifications Development projects
    • Maintain documentation related to Qualifications Development updates
    • Provide administrative support for Chamber Operations meetings and events           
    • Coordinate communication between Chambers Operations and stakeholders.
    • Coordinate interaction between the department and other departments, management, employees, and other stakeholders
    • Handling various ad-hoc tasks and assignments as required to support the overall strategic planning efforts of the organization
    • Providing general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
    • Schedule meetings and other appointments on behalf of the department
    • Ensure that the department adheres to all organisational deadlines
    • Supporting project managers in organizing meetings, tracking project milestones, and ensuring deadlines are met
    • Answer calls and handle enquiries as far as possible
    • Ensure efficient administration within the department
    • Process travel related documents for the department
    • Develop and maintain a filing system
    • Keep information in own area of work confidential
    • Collate all departmental meeting minutes
    • Provide assistance with departmental meeting agenda compilation and distribution thereof

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate or equivalent certification , at a minimum NQF 4
    • A National Diploma or equivalent (NQF 6) in Internal Audit, Business Administration or Public Administration or Public Management or Monitoring and Evaluation or a social sciences research qualification

    Intern: Legal Services and Contract Management

    DUTIES

    • Provide administrative support in the Legal department
    • Schedule meetings and other appointments on behalf of the Legal Advisors in the Department
    • Open and maintain legal files in accordance with legal practices
    • Assist with handling legal administration requirements
    • Organize and maintain legal documents, and case files
    • Check and monitor standing instructions
    • Assist legal advisors with legal research
    • Assist in the development of tender contracts
    • Assist with the Contracts Register by ensuring that it is in place and up to date
    • Maintain records and a database of legal service providers
    • Assist in maintaining legal opinions database
    • Attend to adhoc requests emanating from the Legal Services management

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate or equivalent certification, at a minimum NQF 4
    • A National Diploma or equivalent certification (NQF 6) in Law

    Intern: Provincial Operations

    DUTIES

    • Uphold the image of Services SETA through professional behavior and administration of the reception area and office according to quality standards.
    • Always adhere to corporate values and ethics when interacting with Services SETAs 
    • Welcome visitors and offer refreshments where necessary.
    • Provide assistance to walk-in visitors wherever possible.
    • Keep visitors informed of waiting times where necessary.
    • Keep the reception clean and tidy at all times.
    • Report maintenance issues promptly and monitor progress until they are resolved.
    • Attend to the reception area at all times during office hours.
    • Perform basic trouble shooting to correct minor problems.
    • Attend to incoming calls efficiently and timeously in order to minimize customer waiting time.
    • Route calls to the relevant people
    • When callers are on hold, ensure that the person whom they want to speak to is aware of the pending call and keep the caller up to date with progress.
    • Proactively take messages and ensure that all staff are aware of and receive their messages timeously.
    • Screen calls in order to assist with queries or to route the callers to the correct area
    • Photocopy and scan documentation upon request
    • Filing
    • Distribute documents correctly and timeously
    • Provide typing services as requested
    • Bind documents when requested
    • Receive and dispatch courier packages
    • Collate information for reporting
    • Support Services SETA projects by:
      • Assist in scheduling of monitoring and evaluation visits
      • Assist in scheduling of induction  visits
      • Prepare site visits reports.
      • Provide other project related clerical functions 
    • Support the office in conducting outreach and stakeholder engagements on and/or off-site i.e. career exhibitions, stakeholder capacitation sessions.   

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate or equivalent certification, at a minimum NQF 4
    • A National Diploma or equivalent certification (NQF 6) in Business Administration or Public Administration or Office Administration or Project Management or Human Resources or equivalent certification
