    Your key responsibilities:

    • Use the latest CSS techniques and Angular 11+ to design, develop, and enhance the front end of our core web application in Angular.
    • Design, code, and review code of new and existing product initiatives using Front-end engineering best practices.
    • Understand the architecture of the current applications and maintain them.
    • Meet personal and team deadlines through time management and collaboration with team members.
    • Ad hoc tasks as required by the management.
    • Explore and experiment with new technologies.
    • Actively participate in our agile SLDC execution.

    Your skills and experience that will help you excel:

    • Demonstrable understanding and working experience of HTML5 and CSS3 to build sophisticated modern web front ends ideally using Angular 11+ or similar modern web development framework(s).
    • Strong UI/UX knowledge, JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
    • Demonstrable grasp/practical experience with OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and ability to design highly scalable code.
    • Demonstrable understanding and experience working with RESTful APIs.
    • Demonstrable understanding of and participation in establishment and/or maintenance and execution of CI/CD processes.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or equivalent and relevant job experience.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all project team members and stakeholders (locally and globally) is essential.
    • Experience with Angular, SASS/SCSS, and CSS naming systems like SMACSS and BEM is desirable.

    Financial Digital Archivist

    Your key responsibilities
    In this role you will be responsible for the identification, aggregation and reporting of private equity fund transactional data as well as private company characteristics and financial statement metrics. Data is compiled through the examination and analysis of fund manager reporting and other resources.

    • Detailed review and analysis of private capital fund financial reporting and online resources to accurately identify relevant fund and company level financial data
    • Capture, enhance and maintain large volumes of financial data
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of fund valuations, capital flows, performance reporting methodologies, financial statement metrics and industry classification standards
    • Perform audits and other quality control functions for the content set
    • Comply with all data policies, standards and processes

    • Completed undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Commerce) - Majors in Finance, Accounting, Business Management & Information System, Investments preferred. 
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.

    Senior Full Stack Engineer

    We are seeking a talented and entrepreneurial Full Stack Engineer who is a team-player by nature, to contribute to the development of the firm's core application in an energetic, fast-paced environment. The role provides a great opportunity to develop a substantial portion of the system, from the design and architecture, to implementation, deployment and maintenance. This is a full-time position.

    Our technology stack includes but is not limited to .NET Core, Docker Containers, Angular11+, Azure, AzureDevOps, Kubernetes, SASS, Node.js, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, MongoDB, JavaScript API for Office, Git.

    Your key responsibilities:

    • Build new and improve existing RESTful APIs using .NET Core.
    • Build new and improve existing Angular 11+ components for our core SPA.

    Real Assets Data Operations Analyst

    Your team responsibilities

    MSCI is excited to offer this opportunity to join its Stellenbosch-based Real Assets Data Operations Team. This position is responsible for tracking commercial Real Estate market transactions. Prior Real Estate experience is advantageous, but not required. The role will also suit a recent graduate who has an analytical mind and the ability to communicate in a clear and engaging fashion.

    Our Real Assets business offers a structured training program for its proprietary methodologies and understanding of the Real Estate markets. You will also be part of a diverse team in a growing global company.

    Your key responsibilities

    • Collecting and analyzing complex, high volume and dimensional data from a variety of sources.
    • Searching for, validating and entering data into our proprietary database and ensuring ongoing data integrity.
    • Tracking and monitoring various news sources and third-party data providers for commercial Real Estate transactions.
    • Research missing information or discrepancies for existing Real Estate transactions.
    • Take ownership and responsibility for comprehensively capturing Real Estate transaction activities for European Markets
    • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes, methodology and tools.
