    Senior Probity Auditors (REF NO. HRM/24/24)

    Minimum Job Requirements: 

    • National Diploma or Degree in Internal Auditing or Accounting Sciences coupled with 4 years in Probity Auditing Experience of which 2 years’ experience must be at a supervisory level. 
    • A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite. Registration with a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.

    Key Responsibilities: 
    Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for:

    • Providing inputs to the Three-Year Rolling and Annual Probity Audit Plans 
    • Effectively conducts probity audits and ensure that appropriate tools and techniques are applied in line with the audit methodology 
    • Effectively conducts Supply Chain Management Audits and ensure that appropriate tools and techniques are applied in line with the audit methodology Conducts Supply Chain Management Follow-Up Audits (including AGSA Management Letter Action Plans for SCM related findings) and ensure that appropriate tools and techniques are applied in line with the Audit Methodology 
    • Prepare Draft Audit Reports for all the audit engagements conducted and timeously submit the reports to the Internal Audit Manager 
    • Ensure that all different types of SCM audits are conducted in compliance with the IA Standards Report to the Internal Audit Manager at every stage of the audits (planning, execution & reporting) for review 
    • Conduct other engagements as assigned such as ad hoc, compliance audits, investigations, etc. and timeously submit the report to the Internal Audit Manager 
    • Timeous compilation and submission of the Audit Files (manual or electronic) with properly referenced working papers conforming to the audit methodology 
    • Identify risks on an ongoing basis using the final internal audits and investigation reports adopted by ARC and report to the Internal Audit Manager for the purpose of Internal Audit Risk Assessments and Audit Universe 
    • Effective use of the Internal Audit Electronic Systems for performing the SCM related Audits (BarnOwl, SAP, IDEA, etc.) 
    • Effective Implementation of the IA Charter, adherence to IA IPPF (including Code of Ethics) 
    • Timeously reporting on all activities to Internal Audit Manager on an ongoing basis and escalate issues with audit clients immediately to the Internal Audit Manager, where intervention is required 
    • Timeous implementation of recommendations of Quality Assurance Assessment Reports 
    • Effective engagements with internal clients on probity and SCM related audit projects

    • Contributing to the achievement of LNW Strategic Objectives by evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness (including compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations) of all the internal control systems, Risk Management and Governance Processes in terms of the Approved Risk Based Internal Audit Plan i.e. conduct quality risk-based internal audit engagements allocated from planning to reporting (draft audit findings with management comments) 
    • Conduct other engagements such as investigations, ad hoc audits, follow-up reviews, compliance audits and timeously submit the draft findings to the Internal Audit Manager 
    • Report to the Internal Audit Manager on a regular basis for each stage of the audit being conducted and/or supervised within the set time frames 
    • Supervise the Internal Auditors by providing ongoing supervision, audit reviews, training, coaching and take corrective actions to address performance challenges observed, e.g. assist in identifying relevant training needs 
    • Compile and/or review the Audit File (manual and/or electronic) for each audit conducted and/or supervised 
    • Compile and submit weekly timesheets 
    • Adequate and effective use of electronic systems (BarnOwl, SAP, IDEA, etc.)

    Legal Services Manager (REF NO. HRM/23/24)

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a minimum of 8 years experience in legal environment of which 5 years’ experience must be at middle management level. Admission as an Attorney or Advocate and a valid driver’s license are prerequisite. 
    • A postgraduate qualification in the legal field and registration with the relevant professional body will be an added advantage.

    •  Advising on a variety of legal issues and legal risks 
    • Management and coordination of litigation by and against the LNW Draft, review, edit, interpret, and advise on contractual and legal document Oversee all contractual obligations pertaining to LNW 
    • Research and report on the legal issues impacting LNW 
    • Keep abreast with legislative changes that may affect the LNW 
    • Provide legal opinion on Labour related matters and advice thereof 
    • Serve as a liaison between LNW and external attorneys 
    • Document and maintain legal files and issues

    Senior SCM Demand Officer (REF NO. HRM/26/24)

    Minimum Job Requirements: 

    • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or Logistics with at least 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management environment, of which 2 years must be at supervisory level.

    • Review specifications and ensure that the specifications and terms of reference comply with relevant legislation 
    • Conduct market analysis and commodity price check to assist user departments with cost estimations for their services or goods required 
    • Compile and maintain commodity price list for use of acquisition benchmark 
    • Advise on suitable sourcing strategies based on market and price analysis 
    • Manage and report on the procurement plan progress/performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis 
    • Advise on bid specification and end users on compilation of specifications in line with SCM prescripts

    • Engage with external and internal auditors during audit period and ensure responses within the timeframe 
    • Engage and facilitate SCM related investigations by internal audit or external stakeholders e.g. SIU, Forensics etc. 
    • Conduct verification and facilitate vetting process prior awarding of tenders and quotations 
    • Conduct compliance assessment on all tender’s prior submission to Bid Adjudication Committee 
    • Conduct compliance assessment on orders for quotations on sample basis on a quarterly basis 
    • Identify, register, report and prepare condonation for irregular transactions/expenditure. 
    • This includes preparation of the irregular register on a monthly basis 
    • Conduct compliance assessments of suppliers to evaluate their compliance with contractual obligations and specifications where necessary and practical e.g. panels for frequently utilised goods and services Identify potential risks and internal control gaps within the supply chain, such as external verifications, vetting of documents, disruptions, legal liabilities, ethical lapses, and security threats. Developing strategies and contingency plans to mitigate these risks 
    • Collaborating with internal departments, external partners, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to exchange information, share best practices, and address common challenges related to supply chain compliance 
    • Directly engage SCM subordinates and end users on compliance related items where required 
    • Ensure compliance and monitor the system in terms of the PFMA and all relevant pieces of legislation related to SCM Compliance

    • Examining, analysing and managing the department`s infrastructure specifications and requisitions 
    • Procurement of infrastructure related projects through tender and RFQ process and procedure 
    • Compile tender documents for infrastructure projects together with project manager 
    • Ensures that the tender documents comply with CIDB requirements for tender documents before advertising the tender or the RFQ 
    • Compile the procurement Plan for infrastructure related projects for above R1 million or as determined by National Treasury 
    • Recommend infrastructure related specifications and ensure that the specifications comply with the relevant infrastructure legislation and CIDB prescripts 
    • Advise on suitable sourcing strategies for infrastructure related projects 
    • Manage and report on the infrastructure procurement plan progress on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Advise the bid specification, bid evaluation and end users on infrastructure projects specifications and evaluations in line with CIDB and applicable SCM prescripts Provide support in the bid and quotation process relating to infrastructure procurement and ensure compliance 
    • Provide support to legal services on preparation or review of infrastructure contracts to ensure that documents are aligned to GCC, NEC, FIDIC, JBCC Standards depending on the nature of the contract
    • Organise infrastructure procurement training through CIDB or any other relevant institution for bid committee members (annually) 
    • Directly supervise SCM subordinates and related services responsible for infrastructure procurement 
    • Ensures compliance and monitor the system in terms of the PFMA and all relevant pieces of legislation related to infrastructure projects and services
