    PPM Manager-Ibhayi Brewery

    The key purpose of this role is the full responsibility for planning, reporting and control cycle of Supply budgets (VIC, FIC, ZBB, CAPEX, People, Internal Control) on a monthly, quarterly and year end base for the plant.

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    Annual Plan / Budget​

    • Adhere to all deadlines, milestones and submission requirements to the Zone Supply PPM team ​
    • Review all budget calculations for OPC’s/BOMs and own the end to end process ​
    • Lead the ZBB budget process for the plant and ensure all guidelines, templates and timelines are adhered to ​
    • Support on the completion of the CAPEX budget as required​
    • Lead the headcount and paycost planning process for the plant​
    • Ensure all champions initiatives are properly embedded in the budget while avoiding double counting​
    • Prepare management review presentations for Zone, respecting guidelines, templates and timelines ​
    • Ensure final budget is properly uploaded in all relevant tools (COGNOS, SCFD, SAP, TM1)​
    • Provide correct bottom up VIC standards and actuals for MACO reporting​

    Monthly Process (reporting/analysis/review/LE)​

    • Responsible for the preparation of a full year forecast outlook (LE) for the plant ​
    • Identify opportunities to continuously improve results​
    • Identify risks, respective route causes and identify gap closing action plans ​
    • Consolidate and report LE on a monthly basis to the Zone Supply PPM team​
    • Review of new PCE’s/BOMs on a monthly basis as and when required​
    • Review of the plant P&L and validation that the results reported are accurate and there is no material misstatement ​
    • Review of headcount & paycost reporting on a monthly basis​
    • Leads the completion and presentation of the monthly plant T&M deck with the Plant Manager​
    • Monitors coherence between Budget, CAPEX and ZBB Performance of the Plant​
    • Responsible for monthly and year end closing activities in supply (esp.. validation of accruals)​
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results in line with approved policies & procedures​
    • Manage Relationship with Network of Capability Centre (NoCC) for outsourced activities​
    • Tracks performance targets for the Brewery Operations to reach World Class Excellence Operational efficiency. (e.g. TEL calculation, by product income tracking, packaging & brewing beer loss etc)​
    • Assess Operational efficiency Supply, identify initiatives and lead actions plan to optimize the Supply performance and to close the gaps towards 3YP, Budget, LE, Global Benchmarking.​
    • Executes Management Reporting for the plant to enable best-in-class operational performance management ​
    • Review of fixed asset management​
    • Ensure effective tax compliance

    Ad Hoc​

    • Define recommendations to support Senior Management decisions.​
    • Manage projects as required; participate in ad hoc projects​
    • Challenge and monitor capacity utilization and footprint strategy where applicable​
    • Perform detailed analyses to determine cost opportunities at a plant level and participates actively in zone benchmarking activities. ​
    • Perform strategic studies to streamline the business.​
    • Ensure the application of coherent definitions and reporting requirements.​
    • Mediate on behalf of Supply PPM on performance (P&L) issues/ conflicts across functions.​
    • SPOC for the Supply function towards Plant.​
    • Maintain an effective financial control environment at the plant, this includes but is not limited to ensuring that the following activities take place:​
    • Fixed asset verification ​
    • Inventory control effectiveness​
    • Stock counts​
    • Excise return reviews​
    • Decant compliance​
    • Facilitate SARS audits​

    Profile:

    Education:

    • Relevant 3 year university degree in i.e. in accounting, business, economics, engineering or similar 
    • MBA / CIMA / CA (SA)  would be advantageous

    Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in finance in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience Product Costing  
    • Knowledge of Financial Reporting
    • Knowledge of general accounting and consolidation practices
    • Project management, problem assessment and solving skills ​

    Technical Competencies:

    Packaging Machine Specialist - Inspection & Coding

    The key purpose of this role is to performs activities related to inspection and coding optimization and apply VPO principles. The Inspection and Coding Specialist must ensure a safe and healthy working environment and supports the installations of process control relevant electrical systems, as well as to maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality.

    • Routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance on similar. Brewing and E&F plants

    Maintenance Specialist-Chamdor Brewery

    The key purpose of this role is to provide the plant with a comprehensive and professional Asset Management System. Ensuring compliance to Maintenance systems, standards and work practices to achieve targets set for the maintenance Pillar.

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    •  Ensure compliance with Safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture to ensure safety in the work environment.
    •  Maintenance Pillar Owner for the Plant.
    • Use effective Loss and Waste analysis to identify gaps in the Plant Maintenance system vs VPO. Drive actions to close the gaps.
    •  Monthly review of VPO gap closure and score. Quarterly review of VPO managed. Monthly and quarterly updates sent to Organize, impleme nt and execute VPO in Area.
    •  Manage the Plant and Department indicators to achieve target.
    • Achieve ZBB commitments for Department and ZBB Maintenance for Plant.
    • Lead the ZBB Maintenance Budgeting process for the Plant.
    •  Manage Engineering Stores inventory to optimize Working Capital.
    •  Identify and develop VA initiatives for future VA commitments and drive and monitor current year committed VA initiatives.

    Laboratory Technician Snr (Micro)-Ibhayi Brewery

    The key purpose of this role is to carry out specialized analysis in support of production teams, problem solving, continuous improvement initiatives and training.

    SPECIALIST ANALYSIS

    • Carry out specialized and highly specialized quality analyses and communicate results.
    • Conduct analysis to identify problems and improvement opportunities.
    • Assist the shift based teams in the execution of quality analysis, where required.
    • Conduct calibration of specialist equipment for which the labs are responsible.

    QUALITY AUDITING

    • Conduct required and requested quality audits.
    • Review quality analysis procedures of shift based teams, identifying problems or training needs.
    • Conduct regular audits of calibration.

    Profile:

    • Microbiology/Bio-Chemistry Diploma/degree, Biotechnology Diploma/degree, Food Technology Diploma/degree
    • 2 Years experience in the Food Industry and in a micro laboratory environment is ideal Packaging and/or Brewing experience is preferable
    • Knowledge of SAP PDM, Microsoft Office packages and LIMS will be an advantage
    • May be called on to work overtime as required Demonstrate Good Lab Practices and adherence to housekeeping (5S), health and safety standards

    Checker Operator - SAB Chamdor Depot

    The key purpose of this role is to load, unload and stack materials safely and efficiently while maintaining our governance and Customer service standards.

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    Effective Fleet management

    • Conduct pre-trip inspections prior to the start of each shift using the forklift inspection checklist.
    • Ensure that the forklift is operated and maintained in optimal condition
    • Ensure that fuel and fluids are at accepted operating levels

    Adherence to the health, safety and environmental standards

    • Department of Labour stacking exemptions complied with Site housekeeping standards maintained and adhered to
    • Appropriate personal protective equipment used as designat

    Effective stock quality management

    • Warehouse stock age standards maintained by ensuring stock rotation principles applied
    • Ensures quality control through checking packaging on warehouse floor and prior to loading
