    Compliance Specialist - Group Compliance

    Key Purpose

    Our Group Compliance department is looking for a knowledgeable, self-starter to join the team as a Corporate Compliance Specialist to be responsible for the managing of compliance risks though the employ of policies and frameworks pertaining to our corporate regulatory obligations.
    The role will service the key Group functions, including but not limited to: Marketing, Finance, IT, Business Continuity, Outsourcing areas, People, Tax, Sustainability, and will also have to work with the Secretariat, Risk, Compliance teams and Executives.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • Assisting management to define, set and manage compliance frameworks, policies and standards Corporate Compliance;
    • Regulatory change management affecting the group of companies;
    • Develop and maintain regulatory frameworks (CRMPs) applicable to the function;
    • Be responsible for version control and store of documentation related to Corporate Compliance;
    • Compliance monitoring of the applicable shared services and other functions comprising the portfolio and provide compliance assurance;
    • Regulatory training and awareness, in conjunction with the training team;

    •  

    Identify and evaluate compliance exposures/regulatory breaches and keep the incident and breaches register up to date;

    • Manage regulatory reporting, requests and queries;
    • Provide guidance to the business units
    • Ensure that the Group Compliance annual objectives are met;
    • Key liaison with stakeholders across the Discovery corporate entities;
    • Monitor the efficiency and consistency of compliance controls, compliance measures, and oversight arrangements; and
    • Update the relevant compliance monitoring programmes where necessary.

    • Understand the key pieces of legislation affecting a global corporate entity (i.e. laws and regulations impacting the group of companies relating to SARS, BBBEE, Occupational Health and Safety, CIPC requirements, Human Resources, Sustainability, Governance codes, Advertising, Consumer laws and business continuity amongst others);
    • Understands business models and risk;
    • Writes in a well- structured and logical way;
    • Ability to write and review compliance policies and compliance guidance notes;
    • Strong listening, organisational and communication skills;

    Education And Experience

    • Completed relevant tertiary degree/s
    • Bachelor of Commerce and / or Bachelor of Laws (advantageous)
    • Post-graduate qualification in Compliance Management (advantageous)
    • At least five years’ experience within a compliance environment with working knowledge of the laws, regulations and codes holistically impacting a group of companies, as mentioned in this document.

    Nurse Coach

     

    Key Purpose

    To holistically review the needs of clinically complex members and coordinate their care in the most appropriate setting, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best clinical outcomes.

    Key Outputs

    • Perform health assessments on patients in order to identify individual patient risk factors
    • Perform interventions to influence individual patient risk
    • Promote behavior change to ensure greater treatment compliance and condition management
    • Authorising of visits and treatment as per agreed protocols

    BI Analyst Developer

    Key Purpose
    The role will specifically be focused on working with various stakeholders in order to build data assets and provide analytics for anti-fraud initiatives. The role will also provide support for certain servicing initiatives from time to time. The individual will need to be able to quickly grasp business requirements, take their own initiative to investigate potential areas of fraud, and be able to present the findings. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst Developer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and supporting the BI solutions in the anti-fraud space. The right individual will have experience in all stages of BI delivery including requirements analysis, data model design, ETL Development, data testing and dashboard development. The BI analyst developer should have a firm grasp of BI implementation methodologies in order to ensure BI solutions are robust and scalable.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • Conceptualise, plan and execute end-to-end BI solution delivery
    • Interact with our business leads and other stakeholders to establish information needs
    • Owns and leads the BI delivery on projects
    • Conduct data analysis and data profiling on various source systems with the ability to pick up data anomalies and define rules to solve these anomalies
    • Design and document logical and physical data models using dimension modelling techniques as well as relational modelling techniques
    • Review data models with functional and technical teams via walkthroughs of the planned solution
    • Build ETL solutions within the Microsoft stack (SSIS and TSQL) to populate the designed data model
    • Analyse data across data domains to provide business with detailed data insights that meet business strategic and operational requirements
    • Build PowerBI and SSRS dashboards/reports to present data insights in a meaningful way to the business
    • Interact with systems architects to discuss solutions, challenges and enhancements
    • Establish, maintain, and ensure compliance with data modelling and data integration standards
    • Lead the creation, enhancement and implementation of newer BI standards and processes

    Personal Attributes and Skills

    • Good understanding of ODS, data warehouse, data mart, cube, and database technologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Must be able to navigate ambiguity and complexity around business products and benefits and how they tie into data.
    • Sees data challenges and complexity as a positive challenge instead of an impediment to solution delivery
    • Solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications, process flows and source-to-target mappings
    • Experience working with BI front-end tools to develop prototype solutions (Power BI, Excel)
    • Strong SQL query writing ability (across database environments)
    • Strong experience in logical and physical data modelling using a variety of techniques including Kimball.
    • Strong understanding of Master Data management (MDM), Metadata Management and Data Governance (DG)
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to present solutions and data storylines.
    • Solid experience in gathering requirements for reporting solutions and data analytics.

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science or Informatics
    • Microsoft Business Intelligence certifications will be advantageous
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in BI with experience in implementing complete BI solutions at an enterprise level.
    • Experience in emerging Big Data technologies and the implementation in the BI domain will be an added advantage
