    Data Team Leader - Johannesburg

    Job Purpose

    • This role is responsible for transforming the organisation into a business that truly differentiates and competes on data and analytics by managing the design, delivery and maintenance of data that provides business with the relevant insights that enable improved business decision making across all key parts of the value chain. 

    Job Responsibilities

    • Oversee the delivery of data solutions and insights. 
    • Oversee data sourcing, data models and data mining activities to support data strategy and governance initiatives. 
    • Contribute to data integrity and cleansing activities required to increase the quality of data within the organisation. 
    • Elicit business requirements to uncover data opportunities, functionality, and processes required in order to recommend the appropriate solution. 
    • Provide frameworks to best identify, understand, and interpret data structures across various databases within the business to facilitate data analysis and continuous monitoring activities. 
    • Work with line management to develop quick with strategy and longer term operational requirements. 
    • Make and validate recommendation based on cost and feasibility. 
    • Deliver work products according to the agreed timelines and within agreed budget. 
    • Deliver proof of concepts to customers and obtain the necessary sign-off. 
    • Communicate new features to stakeholders through forums. 
    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys etc.)
    • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy.
    • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank. 
    • Participate in research that will enable recommendations related to system.

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Preferred Qualification

    • BSc. in Computer Science, Information Systems or Statistics. 

    Preferred Certifications

    • Microsoft Related Data Certification.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 6 to 10 years Information Technology experience of which 4 - 5 years in data related experience.

    Credit Risk Support Officer - Johannesburg

    Job Purpose

    • To consistently deliver excellent support to all stakeholders by providing timeous and accurate information.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Deliver various Credit Risk Support, Portfolio Management and Administrative services effectively within agreed turnaround times and quality standards
    • Effective time management to ensure volume standards are met
    • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction by providing accurate data and information recording and capturing on systems, letters and reports
    • Extract, action and distribute required reports and necessary information within set timelines 
    • Achieve high quality output of all tasks or activities performed and provide satisfactory service to the stakeholders
