Main Objectives

• To manage the receiving of grains (Maize) and manage the material movement in and out of the Silos through the implementation of controls, recording and reporting to ensure controls are maintained in all intake operations and related functions/procedures relating to business on site in order to mitigate risks

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving of all Raw Grains on to the mill site
• Communicate with Grain Procurement team(Head Office)
• Checking all consignment documents
• Sampling and Grading the grain
• Weighbridge operation-AGRIS
• Silo Allocation
• Grain Movement management (In and out of the Silos)
• Grain Transfer records from Silo to the mill
• Daily stock take and analysis
• Compiling of all required reports within set deadlines
• Managing the labour cost of the department

Qualification Requirements    

• Tertiary technical qualification preferably Grain Milling or Logistics Management or equivalent will be ideal
• A degree will be a distinct added advantage

Experience Requirements    

• Technical and Milling environment 2-3 years - Essential
• Grain Milling experience 2-3 years - Desirable
• FMCG at operational level 2-3 years - Essential
• Supervisory experience 2-3 years – Essential

 Purpose:

• To manage team of employees responsible to ensure the roadworthiness and cleanliness of bakery trucks and that they are ready on time for it to be loaded in time for deliveries to leave as per agreed schedules.

Main Objectives

• Ensure legal compliance and support OTIF deliveries by ensuring appropriate number of clean and roadworthy trucks per route according to the hygiene (FSSC 22000), AARTO SOP’s and RACI matrix requirements for the same.
• To ensure cost effective bakery deliveries through detailed fleet related expense tracking and monitoring, ensuring timely action of gaps identified in order to minimise cents per kilometre.
• To ensure roadworthy vehicles through the management of preventative maintenance and ensuring annual “certificate of fitness” per truck on time and in full prior to expiry dates for the same in collaboration with corporate bakery distribution team.
• To ensure a high performing transport team through the recruitment, training, coaching and supervision of the team responsible to clean and maintain trucks in line with Premier Way.
• To prevent theft, protect our fleet assets and support cost effective deliveries through ensuring fitment of trucks with vehicle monitoring systems by the preferred suppliers.
• Minimise brand related risk caused by accidents and incidents.

Qualification Requirements    

• Matric or Equivalent – Essential
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic –Commercial Vehicles Essential
• Diploma in logistics or similar- Desirable

Experience Requirements    

• Transport controller/ Fleet manager role 3-5 Years (Essential)
• Supervisory Experience - 3-5Years (Essential)

Main Objectives

• To lead a high-performance production team to deliver extruded products that meet desired quality and cost specifications. (The Premier way).

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure the extrusion process delivers consistent high-quality products in line with required specifications.
• Ensure cost effective raw material and ingredient stock management.
• Ensure high performance culture in the production team
• To ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance to all health and safety and food safety requirements in line with Premier standards and SOP’s by ensuring training of relevant personnel, audits and corrective action of all findings in collaboration with the risk function.
• Ensure best cost production through planning, organising and managing the function in line with agreed expense budget and resource plans.
• To ensure continuous improvement of the production process and function.
• To ensure optimal plant asset management through implementation of timeous corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with company SOPs and maintenance system.

• A career opportunity has arisen in the Production Department - Premier Mill – Vereeniging.  This position is responsible for obtaining good output, extraction and flour quality by adjustments and control of the milling plant. The target is to obtain optimum milling performance.

Qualification Requirements    

• GMF Module 4 and Trade Test
• Wheat grading and fumigation will be an added advantage
• HACCP will be an added advantage

Experience Requirements    

• 5 Years’ experience after Trade test
• 5 Years Wheat Milling in a 16 TPT mill.
• Be familiar with PLC operated plant
• Have worked at least in a 20 ton per hour Mill
