    Engineering Artisan – Instrument Mechanician - Aggeneys

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specifications
    • Perform daily inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, operational and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor
    • Develop, modify, construct and install all types of trade related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
    • Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion
    • Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency to improve trade specific equipment and systems
    • Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect production
    • Supports the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels
    • Ensure that maintenance related information is recorded and reported to the relevant planning office to support the maintenance of the planned/asset maintenance system

     Qualification Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Valid Section 13 / Section 26(D) Trade Test Certificate 
    • Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1
    • Own transport to attend to call outs

    Experience and Skills Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a qualified Instrument Mechanician

    Laboratory Assistant - Saldanha Bay Rural

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with Quality Laboratory Services Health and Safety responsibilities, legal and operational requirements
    • Identify hazards and risk while performing daily tasks and take preventative measures
    • Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards, and procedures of the job
    • Conduct visual inspections of the work area to ensure workplace safety and good housekeeping
    • Perform routine sampling or collection of samples in operational areas
    • Perform routine preparation of samples (crushing, pulverizing, filtering, rolling, splitting and drying)
    • Perform sieve sizing analyses on samples as part of sample preparation
    • Inspection and first line fault finding of sampling equipment
    • Daily inspection, cleaning and unblocking of sampling equipment and spillages caused by sampling equipment

    • Completing sample checklists and logging of samples on the system
    • Marking and labelling of sample tags and sample containers
    • Storing of samples according to specifications and colour codes
    • Perform all sample preparation as per Safe Work instructions to ensure accurate results to the Client and stakeholders
    • Adhere to quality requirements, verifications, calibrations, certifications of equipment

    Qualification Requirements

    • Grade 12

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in engineering or services functions in an engineering industry.
    • Proficiency in using software tools relevant to process and service engineering. Familiarity with basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) is also valuable.
    • Experience in the service management aspect of industrial operations, including the implementation and optimization of service processes.
    • Ability to perform detailed analysis of service operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in report writing and client presentations using MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
    • Medically fit and able to pass medical examinations required for working in operational environments, if necessary.
    • Fluent in English (Read, write, and speak) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience in a related industry, such as mining, manufacturing, or any other field involving complex operational processes, would be advantageous

    Senior Financial Accountant - Johannesburg

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Manage, train and work with Financial Accountants to ensure:

    • Creditor reconciliations, payments and follow-up completed accurately, within Company policy and timeously
    • Review cashbook payments to ensure it is completed accurately, within Company policy and timeously
    • Ensure all bank and cashbook accounts are reconciled on time and accurately
    • Ensure all debtors transactions are captured timeously and accurately
    • Identification and reporting of potential debtor risk and bad debt
    • Approve intercompany invoices in line with Company policy
    • Review and approve intercompany reconciliations
    • Review and approve reconciliation of fixed asset register to general ledger and ensure assets are accounted for in line with IFRS and Company policy
    • Review and approve VAT declarations and reconciliations to ensure VAT is declared and paid in line with the VAT Act
    • Review and approval of payment batches
    • Prepare/ review journal batches and processing
    • Ensure above transactions comply with relevant tax requirements (VAT, PAYE and Income Tax)
    • Ensure all long-term liabilities and leases are recorded accurately and in line with IFRS

    Budgets/ Forecasts:

    • Collation and data preparation from Project Management Accountants to prepare and compile annual budgets and monthly forecasts for legal entities
    • Balance sheet and Income statement:
    • Preparing of management accounts to all relevant stakeholders timeously and accurately
    • Collation and review of variance analysis of month and year-to-date against Budget
    • Produce management packs monthly with executive commentary on any material variances
    • Implement and monitor financial policy changes
    • Review and sign-off of balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Review and sign-off of monthly accruals and provisions

    General:

    • Perform internal audits on sites/legal entities as required
    • Review and advise on cost improvements
    • Report and follow up on non-compliance on financial policy when found
    • Ensure that monthly reporting deadlines and format is adhered to
    • Update and maintain all statutory records in line with Company law
    • Any other ad hoc duties
    • Compile and review specific DRA Group Reports

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Degree
    • A Postgraduate Finance qualification or studying towards will be advantageous

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Cost and Management Accounting as well as Financial Accounting
    • Minimum 5 years Mining Industry experience of which at least 3 years should be in a Head Office role
    • Advanced computer literacy in MS Office
    • Sage X3 experience - preferable

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Comply with all relevant Minopex Management Systems and procedures in respect to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety.
    • Implement and adhere to procurement policy, procedures and standards.
    • Inspect delivery vehicles and ensure delivery to site is in accordance with safety procedures and legislative requirements.
    • Receive and issue goods by verifying the various source documents to confirm validity of the transaction.
    • Ensure correct allocation, storage and stacking of stock items according to product requirements and sound storing practices e.g. storage of hazardous materials and the display of Materials Safety Data Sheet.
    • Record and capture receipt on the system to ensure accuracy and completeness of stock information.
    • Print labels / barcodes and tag items for correct stock identification and storage.
    • Correct binning and storing of items according to the stock system.
    • Timeous and accurate picking of stock according to requisitions to ensure availability to internal clients.
    • Record and capture issuing on the system to ensure accuracy and completeness of stock information.
    • Perform daily housekeeping activities according to organisational requirements.
    • Perform cycle and stock counts according to company policies and standards or any ad-hoc counts.
    • Check the vehicle on a daily basis according to company requirements and report deviations to the Store’s Controller.
    • Operate mobile lifting equipment for receipt and issuing of goods according to safety and operating procedures.
