    Cash and Banking Controller

    Main job purpose

    The Cash and Bank Controller is responsible for daily balancing of the various bank accounts and clearing of the bank clearing accounts.

    Main Objective

    • Daily balancing of bank accounts to ensure SAP agrees to the bank statements.
    • Clearing of bank clearing accounts to ensure minimum reconciling open items at month end.
    • Managing deposit accounts by allocating EFT’s, Cash & Card deposits and resolving unallocated deposits to ensure all receipts are accounted for.
    • Managing payment accounts by allocating daily payments & debit orders and resolving unallocated payments to ensure all payments are valid and accounted for.
    • Attend to adhoc queries from the divisions.

    Process Technician - Corporate

    Main job purpose

    • Responsible for monitoring and improving manufacturing and Engineering processes by detecting and reducing losses in the manufacturing area in order to optimise production through continuous process improvement in support of Shatterprufe Manufacturing strategy.

    Main Objective

    • To reduce losses and optimise production through continuous investigation, analysis and problem solving relevant to applicable processes and machines within in the area in order to minimise downtime.
    • Responsible for developing and up skilling Production personnel in line with process requirements to ensure that production is enabled to conduct their tasks efficiently and effectively and losses and downtime is kept to a minimum.
    • Responsible for establishing and updating the loss database for easy reference in fault identification and problem solving in order to take timeous and effective corrective actions and to keep downtime to a minimum.
    • Responsible for ensuring that Work Instructions, procedures and processes are standardised across all shifts in line with legal, production and environmental standards, so as to ensure zero findings during audits.
    • To support NPD with Tooling and process requirements for each new product according to project plan and specifications whilst ensuring that standard losses are maintained or improved upon. 
    • To effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure that changes, concerns and learnings are effectively communicated to facilitate process understanding and minimise risk. 

    Critical job requirements

    • Grade 12     
    • National Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Analytical Chemistry)

    Glass Handler

    Main job purpose

    Effectively operate the XYZ Automotive operation lines with maximum output, minimum losses, on time delivery to customers and to ensure that quality standards meet customer requirements.

    Main Objective

    • Packing of glass pallets
    • Strapping motor trade pallets with nylon strapping by means of the strapping machine
    • Sorting of motor trade pallets
    • Assist Crane Drivers in handling he crane grab when loading glass to and from the machine
    • Fit side brackets to motor trade pallets by utilizing he nylon strapping an the strapping machine
    • Manually remove broken sheets of lass from the packs
    • Manually count the number of plates per pack
    • Shovel broken glass into bins
    • Ensure cullet mix is correct
    • Prepare export pallets by putting base boards & surrounding plastics to be prepared for crating
    • After packing the export glass, they are responsible for crating by using components such as end caps, front and back frames, tops and steel strappings
    • Flop glass onto flopping table and align it with feeding conveyer by using guiding wheels
    • Feed glass onto transfer conveyer
    • Shuttle glass on the loading boogie
    • Recording of losses by means a push button

    • Buffing out of cosmetic scratches  
    • Assisting in processing area, like Polishing, Screen Line, Arissing and Drilling 
    • Comply to all safety rules

    • Ensure that all products are handled and packed correctly to required specifications. 
    • Accountable for safety and housekeeping in your department 
    • Report and record all breakages and defective glass to the Team Leader 
    • Ensuring that tools are stored safely

    • Understanding and reading of drawings and job cards/labels

    Machine Operator - Armourplate

    Main job purpose

    • Operating the double glazing machine (SIGU), ensuring that production and quality targets are met.

    Main Objective

    • Read and measure incoming glass accurately with a tape measure
    • Inspect all incoming glass for irregular breaks, scratches and uneven edges
    • Review process instructions as per job card and drawings
    • Perform routine maintenance on every machine used in the double glazing process
    • Start machine to verify setups and adjust machine controls to alter alignment as per glass specifications
    • Ensure the water tanks are clean and contain warm water for better cleaning of the glass in the washing machine
    • Operating the desiccant machine
    • Ensure the right spacer is used according to the customer product design specifications
    • Ensure glasses are paired with their partners before building the SIGU
    • Build SIG unit according to the customer product design specifications and SIG standard operating procedure (SOP)
    • Ensure that no glass is built without job card and customer product specifications.
    • Insert both primary and secondary seals on the unit as per information on the job card
    • Read and fill out proper documentation (hard copies and electronically)
    • Observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices or conditions.
    • Maintain daily production record such as quantity, dimensions, square meters, cubic meters and material type by means of a standardised production sheet
    • Scan and confirm every good glass before sending to the next station and scrap rejected glass in order to make replacement.
    • Work according to the SIGU standard operating procedure (SOP)
    • Sign off job card after completing the job
    • Maintain a safe, clean and organized area at all times.
    • Build glass according to daily production plan received from the supervisor
    • Ensure that every glass moving to the next station is properly labelled and accompanied by the right job card and drawings
    • Helping out with other production/operations duties depending on glass production requirements
