    District Sales Representative (Water Treatment) - Cape Town

    • Ecolab is seeking a District Sales Representative (DSR) who will provide a tactical approach to supporting an assigned district to meet or exceed sales targets. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President of Sales Development.

    What You Will Do

    • Achieve / exceed new business target assigned by Sales Manager. Maintain and manage an active prospect list of all potential customers in assigned market that will be called on regularly until sold. Update and manage CRM tool accordingly.
    • Communicate regularly with Ecolab Service Team (Area Manager & District Manager) in assigned market keeping them updated on sales pipeline, strategizing on key prospects, and understanding current status of Technician Team in district. Partner with Service Team to achieve district growth and utilization objectives.
    • Build and maintain internal cross divisional relationships with key team members with an emphasis on lead sharing and cross divisional team selling.
    • Price agreements in alignment with divisional and corporate pricing approval processes.
    • Coordinate and assist with light installation work when needed.
    • Perform work in a safe manner and use appropriate personal protective equipment where applicable.
    • Perform prospect surveys and build professional solution based proposals to gain new business.

    Position will be located in Cape Town

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Two years of foodservice, food equipment, food safety, or related industry experience and minimum of one year sales experience with proven track record
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
    • Experience using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Internet

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Knowledge and experience of foodservice operations
    • Self-motivated with a drive for results
    • Proven relationship management and consulting skills
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and strong time management skills
    • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skill
    • Experience with CRM software tools such as Salesforce.com
    • Previous business to business value-add sales experience
    • Demonstrated consistent success and achievement of sales goals in a sales or account management position

    District Sales Representative: Water Treatment - Durban

    What You Will Do

    • Execute strong team leadership by coaching and training other District Reps, championing corporate initiatives, and by planning and leading portions of District Meetings
    • Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities within existing customer base, and in major, competitively-held accounts, to meet defined territory profit increase goals. Target % sales time will be approximately
    • Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory
    • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives
    • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels
    • Demonstrate the ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts

    Account Manager: Oil and Gas

    What You Will Do

    • Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities in existing customer base, and in major, competitively-held accounts, to meet defined territory profit increase goals.
    • Demonstrate strong team leadership by coaching and training other District Reps, championing corporate initiatives, and planning and leading portions of District Meetings
    • Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory
    • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives
    • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required.
    • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels
    • Actively sell and support Nalco Water innovations and technology with assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with Nalco Water
    • Plan and execute successful customer and prospect Seminars, demonstrating Nalco’s market leadership within the local geography
    • Advise business unit leadership on products and strategies to expand market share
    • Partner with Corporate Account Managers to close strategic, multi-location corporate accounts
    • Demonstrate the ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts
