    Administrator - Billing Finance

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To ensure the accurate and timeous delivery of bills to the consumers, employee base through ownership of billing systems, functional enhancements, integrity, and support.
    • Resolve billing queries timeously and ensuring corrective action is undertaken to ensure customer satisfaction and that the issues do nor reoccur within the business.
    • To accurately process and resolve all billing related queries and ensure billing adjustments are processed within the agreed timelines. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Operational Planning

    • Liaising with relevant areas when necessary to ensure delivery of required solutions, customer experience and SLAs. Initiate corrective actions where applicable
    • Manage daily activities and bill run tasks to ensure the bill run deadlines are met.
    • Ensure timeous and accurate bill delivery
    • Ensure MTN SA customers billing data integrity maintained and updated timeously

    Billing Management 

    • Assist with end-to-end bill runs, including online and mobile platforms and processes
    • Manage and control the end-to-end billing process –  account management, and query resolution
    • Manage billing queries, ensuring accurate and timeous resolution as per agreed turnaround time to ensure accurate bills
    • Manage the fixes of all system integration failures daily, validating reports to eliminate any failure patterns, initiating incident report with all internal stakeholder and ensure resolution and permanent fix.        (24hr support to the business in this area) 
    • Assist with system data clean-up – ensure data integrity compliance with system requirements
    • Provide feedback and input on monthly variance reports.

    Query Management

    • Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis on the Billing Adjustments.
    • Investigate and prepare adjustments for review and approval.
    • Manage and control the query management logging systems, ensuring that queries logged are actioned and completed within agreed KPIs and ensuring correct query resolution and feedback to initiator (24hr support to the business in this area)
    • Prepare account reconciliations for both internal and external customers
    • Attend customer meetings and provide timeous feedback on queries.
    • Manage the daily query queues to ensure query resolution within agreed SLA’s/OLA’s
    • Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure root cause of issues are addressed and corrected.

    Quality Control

    • Assist with quality checks at supplier (printing and mailing) throughout the process to ensure minimum / zero error

    Month End Procedures

    • Prepare for review the debtors age for the billing customers with commentary on collection activities.
    • Capture/import invoices for the billing area, where applicable

    Print invoices for authorisation and distribution

    • Prepare/run statements for customers on a monthly basis and save in PDF format
    • Distribute PDF invoices, information exchange (where applicable) and PDF statements based on contractual requirement/operator requirements
    • Prepare and provide the monthly provisions and accruals
    • Ensure all billing transactions have been completed before month end close

    Product and System Changes

    • Update and manage packages and system changes as per the  business units’ guidelines

    Specialist - Sourcing - Commercial Partnerships Devices and Indirect Finance

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Sourcing Specialist: Commercial, Partnerships, Devices & Indirect is responsible for day-today sourcing activities in conjunction with cross functional team to source goods and services and recommending to upper level staff members and/or Sourcing Committee on which suppliers / partners to contract with. 

    The Sourcing Specialist

    Commercial, Partnerships, Devices & Indirect must execute sourcing activities in complaint with relevant legislation and MTN SA policies, processes and procedures in any of the following categories:

    • Commercial (e.g. marketing, merchandising and sponsorship) Partnerships (e.g. Enterprise Business Unit – EBU, Mobile Financial Services – MFS and Digital products/services partners)
    • Devices (e.g. handset, tablet)

    Manager - Energy Management Network Design and Planning

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The team will support all MTN markets in the realization of the MTN carbon emission reduction strategy vision and drive all key emission and green technology decisions, ultimately supporting the MTN overall strategic ambition to better monetize our infrastructure base, improve efficiencies and deliver savings in the long-term while promoting environment awareness.

    This team will also be responsible in overseeing the OpCo Project Zero budget envelope and will be the operational and technical expertise hub for all related green energy build projects and due diligence, acting at the forefront of initiating sustainable technology change across the infrastructure portfolio to further aid MTN in the achievement of parallel climate sustainability.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Manager:  Energy Management will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Deliver energy expertise and governance as well as functional expertise to support local OpCos as required
    • Support delivery of energy management strategy for the MTN Group 
    • Undertake detailed techno-commercial viability assessments to assess the feasibility of deploying decarbonization levers across different assets owned by MTN. Decarbonization levers will cover both energy efficiency and the energy supply
    • Run decarbonization projects and related RFx’s including choice of energy suppliers, tariff optimization, market price analysis and demand response
    • Build and manage positive relationships with utilities, technical consultant and other energy partners
    • Collaborate with the design and site-specific teams to assess the energy requirements and align partner identification process accordingly
    • Ensure smooth deployment and implementation of decarbonization levers ( energy efficiency and energy supply)  across all assets of MTN
    • Manage and supervise decarbonization projects deployment and rollout
    • Conduct quality control and safety inspections of facilities, fleet and equipment; ensure the adherence to ESG considerations
    • Identify and implement sustainable technology innovation across the full MTN infrastructure portfolio to further aid MTN in the achievement of climate sustainability and ensure readiness to support new technologies
    • Devising approaches to meet energy targets and to encourage best practices
    • Provide input towards the wider MTN Group ESG strategy from a Technology perspective
    • Management of energy processes including implementing environmental policies and practices related to renewables
    • Formulation and development of energy and carbon management and associated reporting across the entire MTN Group of OpCo’s. 
    • Energy data analysis and reporting (including Energy auditing) to all stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
    • Delivery of energy footprint assessments, including information collation, analysis and reporting.
    • Create energy technical standards, policy, architecture and best practice
    • Support on portfolio special projects e.g., Programme management, technical delivery
    • Establish and maintain long term energy reduction plans across the portfolio and for each operating company
    • Advise, coach, and support technology teams across the OpCo’s in identifying, scoping, and implementing energy efficiency and energy supply improvements in line with net zero strategy
    • Managing Net Zero strategy budgets
    • Acting as a champion for energy based environmental issues within MTN

    Key Deliverables 

    • Group Technology net zero energy strategy and guidelines communicated to all OPCOs
    • MTN Group energy mix evolution target and plan
    • Group and OpCo energy footprint and energy measurement and tracking of actual versus target
    • Renewable energy project leadership and guidance
    • MTN Group Sustainability reporting
    • Project Zero budget management and coordination at OpCo and Group level
    • Energy efficiency and energy supply technical expertise and governance 
    • Energy RFP’s, build projects and due diligence including business case development
    • Long term energy reduction performance improvement and optimization approach for each operating company 
    • MTN energy technical policy, standards and guidelines based on industry best practices
    • Energy performance and utilisation benchmark reports
    • 3rd party contractor/ vendor management

    Role Dependencies

    • Active support from the Group CTIO, Executive: Network Design and Planning, General Manager Core, Infrastructure and Data Centres and Senior Manager: Facilities and Infrastructure, Network Operations MTN Group Human Resources 
    • Inputs/support and collaboration from in-country emissions champions and technology teams and C-suite/ executives
    • Deep understanding of the MTN business strategy 
    • Understanding of the respective OpCo technology, business and regulatory contexts
    • Interdepartmental collaborations (Commercial, Finance, Technical Divisions, regarding Business Requirements) 
    • Interface with System and Network Vendors 
    • Alignment of MTN Network Design and Planning strategy and plans and overall business Net Zero strategy

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education:

    • Minimum of 4 year tertiary degree 
    • Telecommunications/electrical engineering background with experience in energy supply greening and renewable deployment will be advantageous
    • Thorough knowledge of energy systems and renewable energy solutioning
    • Thorough knowledge/understanding of environmental issues including but not limited to corporate sustainability best practices; environmental legislation & regulations, and energy reporting

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years with managerial level experience 
    • Minimum 2 to 4 years experience in renewable energy deployment and energy efficiency 
    • Experience in working across diverse cultures and geographies (advantageous)
    • Experience working in a medium to large ICT / Telecommunications organisation or a company which has done significant renewable energy and energy efficiency projects
    • Knowledge of network infrastructure and equipment
    • Experience in developing or leading energy management programmes for large and multiple facilities portfolio will be an added advantage
    • Experience in facility management and sustainability relating to energy and infrastructure
    • Knowledge of energy and environmental policy
    • Experience in cross functional team co-ordination and management
