    Laboratory Attendant - Springbok

    Introduction

    This position will be based at Quality Laboratory Services (QLS), in Springbok in the Northern Cape

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is for the preparation of samples in order to obtain accurate results to monitor performance and ensure the achievement of objectives in the organisation.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform routine preparation of samples (crushing, pulverizing, filtering, rolling, splitting and drying)
    • Perform sieve sizing analyses on samples as part of sample preparation
    • Inspection and first line fault finding of sampling equipment
    • Daily inspection and checks of balances, cleaning of equipment.
    • Cleaning of all laboratory equipment and instruments
    • Sample preparation for XRF and AA analysis
    • Loading and performing XRF analysis.
    • Performing basic AA analysis
    • Completing sample checklists and logging of samples on the system
    • Storing of samples according to specifications and colour codes 
    • Maintain good housekeeping

    Qualification Level

    • Grade 12

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 1 years’ experience in sample preparation in a laboratory is required
    • Knowledge of and good understanding of the basic concepts of sample preparation, e.g. contamination, representative sample and integrity of a sample etc.

    Maintenance Planner - Polokwane

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to manage the Engineering Planning office to ensure minimum downtime using the On Key Computerized Maintenance Management System.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinates and monitors all Engineering maintenance and planning activities relating to the Technical and Metallurgical processes within the Plant
    • Complement planned work by gathering critical information (resources, spares and tools arranged) for effective and safe execution
    • Continually evaluate and motivate critical spares to support equipment reliability during its life cycle
    • Actively assist in managing work backlogs
    • Responsible for establishing and maintaining an accurate and comprehensive asset register, and managing the plant critical spares in collaboration with Engineer and Materials Controller
    • Planning of responsibilities with the Engineer to ensure an efficient workflow
    • Ensure compliance to all required standards and procedures
    • Coordinate with subordinates to provide coverage during leave
    • In order for the Maintenance Planner to contribute towards the safe and efficient achievement of set production targets, he/she will responsible to:Compile and maintain a computerized asset plan ensuring that it is always up to dateProvide asset reports to the Plant Engineer on a periodical basis as requiredCompile requisitions as and when necessary to ensure that special equipment is in stock for work requiredConduct in-depth root cause analysis and report the findings thereof to the Plant Engineer when major failures occurCompile monthly reports from CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and submit to respective partiesCompile ad hoc reports as and when required by management or the clientOptimize scheduled tasks based on historical plant equipment failures

    Qualification Requirements

    • Relevant Trade Test Certificate with 5 years’ experience as an Artisan and 2 years’ experience as a Foreman; or National Diploma Engineering with at least 5 years process plant experience

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planning role
    • Expert knowledge of and training in the maintenance module Pragma On Key or other similar maintenance module
    • Relevant planned maintenance system training, On Key would be an advantage
    • Sound knowledge of Mining Engineering Codes of practices, policies and procedures
    • A good knowledge of machinery and equipment used on the relevant operations
    • Understanding of engineering best practices and new technologies relating to engineering principles & processes
    • Proven technical and maintenance capability
    • Sound knowledge of Condition Monitoring practices
    • Good working knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance principles would very advantageous
    • Mineral Process Plant experience would be an advantage
    • Experience in project planning and scheduling to include shut down planning in projects
    • English language proficiency

    Plant Engineer - Polokwane Rural

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to manage the asset care management system according to engineering standards, legislative and client requirements.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Control the allocation of work to ensure the achievement of results according to client needs and service objectives
    • Coordinate the integration of the operational plans with engineering systems to ensure maximum plant availability according to organisational objectives
    • Assess the requirements of the law, and ensure the implementation and adherence to all requirements within the responsibility area
    • Provide technical support to the operation on engineering related matters to minimize possible engineering risk
    • Prepare short, medium and long-term maintenance plans to meet business objectives
    • Analyse and interpret maintenance trends and variances, and initiate change

    Talent Acquisition Manager - Johannesburg

    Description

    • The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible to develop, implement and drive a comprehensive recruitment strategy and seamless end to end recruitment process for the Minopex Group in order to fulfil current and future strategic and operational organisational needs and to ensure compliance to legislative requirements at all times.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to accommodate the current and future needs of the business.
    • Responsible for the effective management and delivery of all aspects of the end to end recruitment process for the Minopex Group to achieve delivery targets.
    • Review and update the Recruitment Policy and associated documentation as and when required.
    • Undertaking regular regional audit activity and qualitative reviews to ensure ongoing governance and quality performance.
    • Ensure that the recruitment process integrates with all the relevant Human Resources areas to deliver optimised operations.
    • Support regular performance reviews with relevant stakeholders to review recruitment performance and escalation concerns.
    • Ensure that the recruitment process is fully optimized with continuous improvement on recruitment KPI’s (Time to Fill, Cost per Hire etc.).
    • Responsible to ensure compliance to the Employment Equity (EE) Act and the site specific Social and Labour Plans (SLP’s) in respect of recruitment and selection.
    • Maintain company-wide job descriptions and conduct job analyses / evaluations and job descriptions for new positions.

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Organisational / Industrial Psychology / Human Resource Management or a similar discipline

    Experience & Skills Requirements:

    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing recruitment teams.
    • Demonstrated experience of recruitment and sourcing within the mining industry.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques and requirements, selection guidelines and legislation regarding employment practices.
    • Sound knowledge of Recruitment, Pre-Boarding, HR and recruiting policies and procedures.
    • Must have previous experience in designing and implementing HR-related strategies and processes within Recruitment.
