    Officer, Receiving

     PURPOSE:

    1. To be responsible for operational management and support provision to receiving warehouse section.
    2. To take responsibility for receiving of ordered goods at the business premises.
    3. To take responsibility as the Business Unit driver for safe collection and delivery of goods or people, whilst adhering to all road regulations/rules. To manually capture data regarding Goods Received Vouchers and service entries onto SAP accurately and timeously.

    Minimum Requirements    

    QUALIFICATIONS:

       Grade 12/Standard 10 (Essential/Minimum)

    EXPERIENCE: 

     2-3 years Experience in warehouse, operational environment and SAP MM Module  (Essential/Minimum)    Operational

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    1. Administration and Document Control
      1.  Ensure queries and complaints resolved and progress reported
      2. Assist with item issuing, delivery, binning and dispatching
      3. Capture and process receiving documents data manually into SAP
      4. Ensure processed data is available to authorised staff
      5. File processing documents and maintain confidentiality
      6. Note incorrect deliveries accordingly on supplier’s delivery documentation
    2. Business Performance and Operations  
      1.  Conduct accurate and timeous receiving of materials, signing delivery documentation correctly on behalf of the organisation, materials management, reporting and capturing
      2. Participate and provide support in the audit process and improvement of the warehouse function
      3. Report incorrect and damaged items immediately to coordinator, warehouse and receiving/buyer
      4. Execute standardised processes and investigate improvement of warehouse processes.
    3. Compliance, Governance and Assurance  
      1. Provide guidance to direct reports and customers to ensure compliance
      2. Create awareness, address unsafe or non-conforming practices
      3. Utilisation of the SAP module to ensure data integrity
      4. Governance: Ensure function adheres to governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline
    4. Functional Excellence  
      1.  Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end- to-end processes, tools, templates etc.
      2. Assist in standardising, simplifying and speeding-up of functional processes and eliminating duplication/bureaucracy
      3. Apply functional best practices and promote sharing of best practices/knowledge
      4. Assist in the execution of functional excellence initiatives
    5. Operational Support
      1. Execute of material management reporting
      2. Oversee truck loading/offloading by external parties and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures
      3. Record received items, compare with original order and ensure availability for binning
      4. Ensure specified items are sealed to prevent dust/corrosion
      5. Ensure stacked items are bound during handling from trucks and during warehousing in accordance with policies and procedures to prevent damage or injury
    6. People Management

    7. Receiving Process  
      1.  Support the implementation of Information Management (IM) technology and infrastructure that supports Supply Chain Management (SCM) receiving processes

    Data Scientist, IOC

        PURPOSE:

    1. Develop and lead the application of data science modelling at an Integrated Operations Centre level to deliver insight-driven tactical and strategic value creation.
    2. Provide statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modelling, prescriptive analytics, simulation and optimisation to discover trends, opportunities and threats.
    3. Design quantitative advanced analytics models that answer business questions and/or discover opportunities for improvement/optimisation at the business unit.
    4. Use data to support and optimise decision making, including predictive decision-making across the business value chain from the pit right through to the port.
    5. Ensure the availability of approved resources (skills, funding, technology, etc.) for modelling initiatives, driving change and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
    6. Communicate and present findings and recommendations to management and business.
    7. May coach junior data scientists.

    Minimum Requirements    

    QUALIFICATIONS:

      10. Strive to align focus to Top 5 and P75 and inversely use analytic insights to influence direction setting in these processes
      11. Play a role in guiding focus areas for digitalisation
      12. Be competent in working with any type of data — both structured and unstructured
      13. Understand when a problem is a data science problem
      14. Document and maintain an understanding and representation of the BU data landscape
      15. Establish data requirements around value chain problems and where data gaps exist, work with technicians and data owners to close gaps
      16. Utilise appropriate indicator/value models for data science initiatives for the purposes of prioritisation and benefit tracking, in collaboration with Business Improvement and Value Chain Integrators
      17. Create frameworks to measure success, partner with Value Chain Integrator’s to define success metrics, create approaches to track the data and troubleshoot errors, quantify and evaluate the data, then develop a common language and effective visualisation for all colleagues to understand these Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
      18. Operationalize data processes - provide the team with ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools so that everyone gets a good sense of the state of the business
      19. Develop and disseminate models according to an agile (MVP) approach
      20. Visually represent models in a compelling story
      21. Identify and build the right user experience so that the output of data science/machine learning workflows is easily interpretable for and actionable by the business users
      22. Actively participate in cross BU Communities of Practice (CoPs) and Forums to build skill, synergies and scaling
