    (500) Project Manager – 12-Month Fixed Term Contract - GSMD

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Define the project scope/brief and work breakdown structure (WBS) in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of deliverables and approach. 
    • Produce project management plans that are comprehensive, including scope, quality, risks, time, cost, human resources, procurement, integration and communication, and ensure that these knowledge areas are regularly updated and maintained. 
    • Ensure that all project documentation, deliverables and reports are produced, approved and maintained timeously, including close-out documents. 
    • Identify and manage project risks, constraints and changes, ensuring that the project plan is managed and approved. 
    • Establish and manage relationships with all stakeholders, role players and service providers, and ensure commitment to a common goal. 
    • Establish and effectively manage a multi-disciplinary project team throughout the project life cycle, clearly defining roles and responsibilities of project team members for the delivery of project outputs. 
    • Direct and coordinate the activities of project resources to ensure the project progresses according to the approved schedule, producing the expected deliverables, within budget and according to specification and quality standards.
    • Coordinate and facilitate initiatives that are not full projects in nature, across GSMD ‒ these include the management of the quality of the information, monitoring progress and reporting to different departmental structures.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or an equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
    • a Professional Project Management Certification (PMP).
    • five to eight years’ experience in managing complex projects within a Physical Security Systems and Information Technology environment (preferably Genetec). 
    • sound knowledge of project management legislation, project cost management, governance, risk and compliance, occupational health and safety, quality assurance and contract and service management; and
    • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (MS) software packages, such as Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

    (497) Technical Cyber Security Consultant X2 - BSTD

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Advise and drive security minded thinking to ensure effective consideration of security control objectives across the SARB Group, while optimising processes.
    • Provide technical direction, oversight, coaching and mentoring to BSTD team members in the operational and development landscape regarding security controls, ensuring the delivery of secure implementations.
    • Define, design and optimise effective security mechanisms that enable secure business processes.
    • Research and stay abreast of the threat landscape and the latest developments to mitigate cyber and system security risks, aligned to governance controls for systems on-premises and in the cloud.
    • Identify security requirements, from business requirements, and define and guide the development and maturing of controls to enable a mitigated business risk.
    • Liaise with security architects and technical teams as well as security service providers to share best practices and insights both within SARB Group and the industry.
    • Assess the effectiveness and completeness of existing architectural artifacts and security patterns and provide direction on artifacts and pattern expansion in order to reduce the SARB Group’s risk posture.
    • Evaluate implemented security controls and mechanisms for their effectiveness and identify gaps to improve and extend the use of such controls.
    • Guide and ensure effective compliance measurement interpretation in order to ensure effective SARB Group risk posture reporting across all domains.
    • Create, and provide input into the maintenance and definition of, security policies, frameworks and standards in accordance with corporate governance including the Bank’s policies, procedures and other legislative requirements.
    • Develop and evaluate Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for security specific solutions and provide guidance on security requirements for business solutions.
    • To act on management requests to address or mitigate risks in the SARB Group environment as identified.
    • To play a consulting role in responding to critical security incidents within the SARB Group as a member of the Incident Response team (CSIRT).

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Job requirements

    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • A minimum of a BSc. Computer Science Honours / BSc. Engineering Honours (NQF 8) plus Industry specific qualifications OR equivalent;
    • CISSP qualification is required.
    • 8–10 years’ experience in an information security function with at least 3-5 years of job-related experience in application/infrastructure/cloud security design and consultation.

    Additional requirements include:

    • Other industry specific qualifications such as SSCP, CCSP, CSSLP, CISM, TOGAF etc.  will be advantageous to aid in the selection of the focus area between applications and infrastructure both on premises and cloud.

    (488) Environmental Coordinator - Contract - CSD

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Coordinate and conduct environmental inspections to ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation; regulations, bylaws and approved permits/licences at various SARB facilities and projects.
    • Prepare and implement SHEQ specifications for SARB projects and services.
    • Identify areas of improvement to reduce waste, improve sustainability and ensure legal compliance. 
    • Conduct Compliance Risk Assessments for all applicable environmental legislation and regulations.
    • Identify and provide necessary environmental training and awareness for SARB employees and other identified stakeholders.
    • Implement the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 focusing specifically on the identification of significant environmental aspects and impacts for the various SARB operations.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental templates for contractor management.
    • Conduct Contractor/Service Provider evaluations in line with issued specifications and coordinate on site contractor environmental activities.
    • Develop, maintain, and update Environmental Legal and Other Requirements Matrix.
    • Engage with key internal stakeholders and to ensure that reporting requirements and timeframes are met.
    • Compile environmental progress updates in various divisional reports, where required.
    • Manage environmental incidents in line with the Environmental Incident Management procedure. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • A minimum of National Diploma Environmental Science or management (NQF6) OR equivalent
    • Completed ISO 14001:2015 courses (Any of the following: Requirements/ -Implementation/ Internal Auditor) are also essential.
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in the environmental management profession of which at least 1 – 2 years’ experience should be in the implementation/maintenance of Environmental Management Systems

    (495) Internal Audit Manager - IA

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Participate in the strategic processes of the Internal Audit Department (IAD) by providing inputs, completing strategic projects and providing status updates.
    • Contribute strategically to the development of the IAD’s annual audit plan by identifying and elaborating on priority risks faced by the IAD and the SARB.
    • Prepare case studies and run training sessions within the IAD, mentor other auditors as well as provide training to managers in areas of governance risk management and control relevant to the SARB.
    • Lead a team of auditors on audit assignments of varying complexity: plan the audit, allocate and provide quality assurance work, project manage the delivery to set milestones and manage the relationship with the internal clients.
    • Integrate the research of different auditors and the findings from audit tests to scope and set the objectives of the audit and prepare audit recommendations.
    • Compile and review thorough, concise and reliable audit reports, quality assuring and integrating the inputs of other auditors into the final report.
    • Work on new or complex risk problems the SARB may be facing or that may be emerging within the SARB.
    • Present audit findings and recommendations to the heads of departments and the executive management of the SARB and, where necessary, to the SARB Audit Committee.
    • Perform project-based performance appraisals for team members and provide input in the overall performance evaluations.
    • Stay abreast of and actively contribute to the development of new approaches (best practice) – methods, analytical techniques, new models and procedures – to internal audit in the SARB.
    • Lead briefings and presentations with departments and engage other technical auditors and senior managers in the SARB.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a minimum of an Honours degree (NQF 8) in Internal Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management or Information Systems;
    • a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification; 
    • certificate in PRINCE2 and/or data analytics (will be an added advantage);
    • a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience within an auditing environment of which three to five years should be in a project assurance environment; and
    • a minimum of three years’ experience in leading audit assignments.
