    Workshop Technician - Millwright electrification

    Mission    

    • To create an organizational structure that is most suitable for the effective and efficient operations of the Jet Park workshop. To develop a highly skilled motivated team that is focused on quality and efficiency. To develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures that are in line with Total Quality Management and Continuous improvement principles. To promote safe working environment through enhanced awareness, compliance with all applicable Epiroc safety standards and SHEQ regulatory requirements.

    The main tasks and responsibilities     

    • Work safely within a workshop environment 
    • Adherence to SHEQ policies and procedure
    • Service, maintenance and repair on Epiroc's new and used equipment 
    • Carry out modifications and updates on batteries
    • Component rebuilds and repairs
    • Carry out high level repairs on batteries 
    • Fault finding and problem solving
    • Ability to work well with others in a team
    • Carry out service, troubleshooting and repairs as per OEM standards and requirements. 
    • Compile service and failure reports. 
    • Completing warranty and upgrade claims
    • Timekeeping and tracking of labour
    • Keep record of all repairs
    • Communication to product manager

    Competences, skills and experience    

    • Mining equipment (surface and underground) product knowledge and experience
    • Trade qualification (Millwright)
    • Strong problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to perform assigned duties under pressure
    • Read and understand schematics, including knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Commitment to providing quality customer service
    • Advanced report writing skills 
    • Specialized expertise, ingenuity, and takes pride in solving technical problems
    • Drive, determination, self-discipline
    • Accountability and dedication to maintaining standards of quality and accuracy
    • Values integrity and engenders trust
    • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in using Microsoft tools.
    • To Perform mechanical or electrical repairs and execute according to the company specifications and standards
