    Trade Asset Manager (Draughts)

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategy Execution

    • Scope: Review, Implementation & Management of strategy
    • Ensure that draught strategy is executed and approve requests based on alignment with strategy.

    Asset Procurement and Management

    • Scope: Acquisition, disposal, write-offs, and verification
    • Maintain commercial fixed asset records.
    • Ensure proper use of commercial assets.
    • Ensure that commercial assets are properly maintained including verification and maintenance.
    • Notify the financial department when assets are acquired, destroyed, stolen, or disposed of.

    Asset Logistics

    • Scope: Asset installations, movements, and upliftment.
    • Ensure correct documentation (Volume Calculator, Request form, loan agreement) are completed and shared with the supplier for action on all asset installation requests, movement requests and uplift request.

    Asset Utilisation Management

    • Scope: GAP Draught System
    • Manage, follow up and ensure feedback on tickets issued to sales teams. Underperforming taps to be flagged with Sales teams and make a decision on action to be taken.
    • Ensure that Sales teams utilise system when calling on draught outlets. Managing user access to system.

    Asset Reporting

    • Scope: Asset Management Weekly and Monthly Reporting
    • Weekly: Footprint Report, Breakdown Report, Installation Report, Trade Comments Report, Draught performance, and throughput report.
    • Monthly: Sanitation Completion Report, Assets Available for Install Report, Compliance Report.

    Peripheral Asset Optimization

    • Scope: Peripheral Assets – Bar mats, coasters, skimmers etc.
    • Design and Management of Customer qualification framework for additional glassware and peripheral assets (bar mats, coasters etc) using a points system. Can be combined with Amplify.

    Glassware Management

    • Scope: Glassware Management (Stock on hand & Distribution)
    • Managing glassware SOH at 3rd party warehouses and compiling delivery schedule monthly and quarterly.
    • Ensuring that correct documentation is completed and approval for Ad Hoc glassware and lens requests.
    • Compile and manage glassware, barcodes, equipment forecasts and SOH.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Scope: Collaboration with Draught Stakeholders
    • Weekly Meetings with On Trade Team including Trade Marketing. Alignment with Brand teams on Ad Hoc basis. Weekly feedback to Sales Operations Manager.

    Supplier Management

    • Scope: Ensure that SLA is adhered to with Suppliers
    • Ensure that Liquor Runners & Dispensetech adhere to SLA in place and follow correct procedures.

    Funds Management

    • Scope: Financial Planning, Management and Reporting (Monthly and Annually)
    • Monthly: OPEX Budget Management, Reconciliation, and Accruals for OPEX.
    • Annually: CAPEX & OPEX Budget Planning, Requests & Goods Receipt.

    Systems optimization

    • Scope: Innovation - Ways of Working / Perfect Serve Solutions
    • Improvement of current reporting and processes with regards to ways of working. (Movement of asset management and contracting to OptiHub or SalesForce). Collaboration with Trade Marketing and Brand teams so ensure optimal usage of asset and improved consumer experiences.

    Training and Development

    • Scope: Sales Team Training/ Skills upkeep
    • Training on commercial asset ways of working and guidance.

    Quality and Risk Management

    • Scope: Quality Management of draught products
    • Ensure that quality is not compromised by ensuring that throughput is sufficient per tap.
    • Raise quality risks with sales teams on underperforming outlets.
    • Ensure barman training is aligned and maintained – correct glassware used, and hygiene practiced in outlets.

    Job Requirements

    Education

    • A 3-year Degree, finance, logistics, Data science, business, or commerce

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years in the FMCG industry – with experience in the following:
    • Asset Supply Chain Management
    • Financial Planning
    • Regional Sales Team Planning Cycle
    • Contract Management
    • Trade Marketing Fundamentals
    • Liquor Trading Policy
    • South African commercial liquor trading landscape
