    Team Manager: Motor CSC (JG8)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, supporting and developing a team of Motor Claims Service Consultants, monitoring targets, deadlines and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements and compliance to Standard Operating Procedures with the view to deliver a superior client service experience. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensuring that the team members are equipped with the necessary process and product knowledge, system skills and behavioural competencies to enable them to achieve their various targets. 
    • Monitor workload/workflow, processes and performance. 
    • Resolve client enquiries of a sensitive nature (complaints). 
    • Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports. 
    • Attend to performance related issues and disciplinary matters. 
    • Build and maintain excellent business relationships with intermediaries and suppliers and ensure that the team does the same.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric  
    • 5 - 8 years claims services experience
    • Insurance related qualification 
    • Experience in a leadership role (beneficial)  
    • Process improvement and implement experience (beneficial)
    • Relationship Management (beneficial)
    • Performance Management (beneficial)

    SKILLS

    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
    • People management skills  
    • Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point) 

    KNOWLEDGE

    • Knowledge of Short-term Insurance products  
    • Knowledge of Santam Motor Claims processes 
    • Knowledge of Santam Motor Claims Systems (e.g. e-Natis, Abuntex, ClaimCenter, Mainframe, BPM, RSS/JDE, etc.) (advantageous)
