Support Technician - Somerset West at Helderberg Personnel

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:  

• Customer Support (90%)
• First point of contact for technical support to installers
• Assist installers and end users with firmware updates via telephone and remote login
• Provide feedback to installers and customers on battery repairs, upgrades and new developments
• Keep up to date with industry trends and changes
• Offer suggestions for continuous improvements to the products
• Standby required for technical support for a limited period via standby shifts
• Attend training as required
• Admin (10%)
• Provide accurate and efficient technical support via email and ticket system
• Respond to tickets within the time stipulated by the system
• Complete daily timesheets for continuous measurement and logging of faults
• Participate in stock takes

Requirements Include: 

• Technical Diploma/Certificate or BTech– Electrical Engineering
• At least 3-5 years relevant technical experience  
• Technical knowledge about products
• Computer literate
• Ability to read and interoperate electrical schematics
• Proficient in MS Office packages
• High level of system knowledge and understanding for effective support and maintenance functions
