    Support Engineer EUC - Cape Town

    • Datacentrix is seeking a Support Engineer EUC to be based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality technical onsite support to our rapidly growing customer base, delivering solutions to both technical and non-technical end users while also supporting a wide range of EUC technologies. The Support Engineer needs to be mobile, proficient and quick to learn new technologies as they become available.

    Critical Requirements - Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

    • Matric or Grade Essential
    • Valid Drivers Licence and Own reliable vehicle
    • A+ and N+ / studying towards an IT qualification.
    • ITIL proficiency an advantage.
    • Proficient at PC builds and hardware break/fix part replacement.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • At least 3+ years’ experience delivering EUC services in a customer environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft software products.
    • Ability to recognize and prioritize critical customer requirements.
    • Attention to detail with strong customer service skills.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours as may be required.
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Must be able to cope under pressure.
    • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transport as travelling is a requirement.
    • Must be punctual, disciplined and dedicated to effectively execute job requirements keeping in mind
    • INTERNAL and EXTERNAL HR and IT policies in place.

    Primary Role Accountabilities:

    • Provide a high level of support for user and infrastructure environments ensuring careful and optimal call management and efficiencies.
    • Able to correctly analyse and prioritise calls and requests according to business impact and urgencies as well as financial impact.
    • Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with the clients and client end-users.
    • Ability to communicate oral or written feedback and technical information to all levels of end-users.
    • Maintains service and quality levels according to of the company’ business standards, processes and procedures.
    • Creates and updates documentation related to all Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Ability to analyze and solve common and complex EUC issues through reasoning, troubleshooting and innovative thinking.
    • Liaises with 3rd party vendors to resolve escalated incidents, problems and queries.
    • Provide vendor authorised break/fix services in the field.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with PC/Print hardware installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
    • Confirms Call Resolution with End User before resolving calls on Call System.
